In Edwardian London, on the eve of her departure to boarding school, Wendy Darling spends her final night at home with her parents and younger brothers, John and Michael. Feeling discontented about growing up, she makes a wish that echoes through the night. Responding to her plea, a spirited boy named Peter Pan arrives, inviting her to the enchanting realm of Neverland, a place where she can remain young forever. Alongside him and his fairy companion, Tinker Bell, Wendy, John, and Michael soar into this magical land.

Upon their arrival, they are immediately confronted by a crew of pirates led by the notorious Captain Hook, who seeks vengeance against Peter for taking his hand and offering it to a crocodile. In an unfortunate turn of events, Wendy becomes separated from Peter and her brothers, encountering Tiger Lily and the Lost Boys. During this time, she witnesses a perilous plan where the pirates intend to drown John and Michael in the treacherous waters of Skull Rock. As Peter engages in a fierce battle with Hook, Wendy, Tiger Lily, and the Lost Boys unite their efforts to rescue John and Michael, ultimately causing the pirates to retreat as the crocodile chases Hook away.

With the threat momentarily vanquished, Peter feels triumphant. However, Wendy reprimands him for his thoughtlessness, reminding him of the deep, complicated history he has with Hook. After retreating to Peter’s secret hideout, Wendy, in a moment of kindness, sings a lullaby to the Lost Boys, inadvertently giving away their location to Hook and his crew. During a tense exchange with Peter, she learns that Hook was once the first Lost Boy, James, who turned his back on Neverland and chose the life of a pirate, leading to their bitter enmity.

As the story unfolds, Hook captures the Lost Boys, Tinker Bell, and the Darling siblings, ambushing Peter in a climactic confrontation. However, the clash leaves Hook feeling hollow instead of victorious, as he confides in Wendy about his deep-seated longing for his mother, the one he left behind, which ultimately led to his downfall. With the help of Tiger Lily, who nurtures Peter back to health, Hook coerces Wendy into an impossible situation by making her walk the plank. In a moment of desperation and fueled by her determination to grow up, Wendy takes flight using Tinker Bell’s pixie dust.

Amidst the chaos, Tinker Bell helps the Lost Boys escape while Peter finally faces Hook. In a dramatic duel, he humbly apologizes to Hook for his past failures as a friend, but Hook refuses to accept peace. When Wendy boldly maneuvers the ship to flip it over, sending the pirates tumbling into the sea, Peter desperately attempts to save Hook, urging him to discover the joy of flight. Sadly, Hook, devoid of happy thoughts, plummets deep into the ocean, losing his hook in the process.

Eventually, the Lost Boys, realizing their desire for a true home, decide to return to London aboard the ship with the Darlings. Once back, Wendy introduces her new friends to her parents, while Peter reveals that the Darlings’ home was once his own before he escaped after a disagreement with his mother, who advised him to embrace maturity. Wendy offers Peter the chance to stay, but he feels unprepared for adulthood. Thus, he bids a fond farewell to Wendy and the Lost Boys, heading back to Neverland, accompanied by Tinker Bell.

In a twist of fate, it is revealed that both Hook and Mr. Smee survived their fall. As they cling to floating debris in the sea, Hook notices Peter returning on the ship and manages a civil smile, foreshadowing the continuing saga of their rivalry.
