Young best friends Cecilia and Emma made a heartfelt pact to remain friends forever. Fast forward to the present, where an adult Cecilia Aisha Dee has become a successful lifestyle vlogger. While on a routine shopping trip at a pharmacy, she unexpectedly bumps into Emma, who calls her “Sissy”, much to Cecilia’s discomfort. After they exchange contact details, Emma invites Cecilia to her engagement party, and subsequently, to her bachelorette party.

Excited yet apprehensive, Cecilia arrives at Emma and her fiancé Fran’s home, where she meets Emma’s friends Tracey and Jamie. The atmosphere shifts when Fran casually mentions that Alex, Cecilia’s former bully from grade school, will be joining the party. This takes an unsettling turn when the car accidentally hits a kangaroo. Upon exiting to inspect the still creature, Cecilia is haunted by visions of her childhood tormentor. Fran, in an effort to spare the animal pain, insists on running over the kangaroo, further darkening Cecilia’s mood.

At the party, Alex treats Cecilia with disdain, dismissing her success as an influencer, while the other guests largely neglect her presence. Afterward, Emma sincerely apologizes for Alex’s behavior and urges Cecilia to mend fences with her.

The next day at the lake, things take a turn for the worse when Cecilia overhears Alex, Tracey, and Jamie disparaging her. When Emma storms away in anger, only Alex stays behind, taunting Cecilia and stealing her phone to post a damaging video, “exposing” Cecilia’s supposed cruel and sadistic nature to her followers. As they struggle for the phone, Cecilia inadvertently hits Alex with a rock, knocking her unconscious, and it dawns on Cecilia that her childhood bully’s dark past is tied to her painful memories—as a child, Alex constantly tormented her, leading to a violent confrontation between them.

In a panic, Cecilia drags Alex’s body into the woods to bury her, taking a necklace from the corpse. She then begins a live stream, attempting to lead her followers in a meditation session while planting a tree over Alex’s grave. Jamie stumbles upon the scene and, horrified, runs away; Cecilia pushes him off a cliff, ensuring no witnesses remain. Meanwhile, Emma falls into a river while desperately searching for Alex.

Back at the house, Tracey admits she is aware of what transpired between Cecilia and Alex. In a moment of cold calculation, Cecilia shoves Tracey into a bathtub and watches lifelessly as she drowns after getting her hair tangled in the drain. Unbeknownst to Cecilia, Alex, who survived the attack and is now severely injured, crawls out of her grave.

While on the road looking for Emma, Cecilia picks up Fran. In an emotional confession, she laments how they hadn’t grown old together like they promised. Fran attempts to comfort her, but out of nowhere, Cecilia accelerates and abruptly brakes, flinging Fran through the windshield, before purposefully running over his head to end what she perceives as his misery.

Alex finds Emma’s lost phone and tries to call for help, but her injury hinders her ability to speak. The police trace the call, but before they can act, the phone dies. When Cecilia returns to the house, she begins slapping her own face with her phone and live-streams a plea for help, insisting that Alex had attacked her and killed everyone else.

Upon awakening, Emma hears Cecilia’s narrative but quickly identifies the lies when she discovers Tracey’s corpse concealed beneath the bed and notices Cecilia wearing Alex’s necklace. In a flurry of miscalculated actions, Cecilia accidentally causes Emma to fall and knock herself out, tying her up with the intention of repairing their friendship upon her return to consciousness. However, Emma manages to free herself and fights back, gaining the upper hand.

Just when it seems Emma has triumphed, Alex reappears, mistaking Emma for Cecilia and ultimately bludgeoning her in a fit of rage. As Cecilia expresses her gratitude to Alex, the situation spirals out of control, leading to a standoff with the police, who fatally shoot Alex, believing her to be the aggressor.

Eventually, time passes, and Cecilia, now hailed as a survivor of the so-called “Alex Kutis Massacre,” uses her platform to promote a book chronicling her experiences on her channel. The tale of friendship turned tragic illustrates the lengths to which people will go in the face of past traumas, underscoring a chilling narrative of violence and survival.
