The Business of Strangers 2001

As Julie Styron (Channing) soars through the skies, bound for a crucial meeting, her CEO’s sudden request to dine together has her stomach in knots. The specter of job insecurity looms large, prompting her to solicit the expertise of headhunter Nick Harris (Fred Weller) to fortify her professional defenses. But before she can even consider making any contingency plans, her day takes a nosedive with the tardy arrival of her new assistant Paula Murphy (Stiles), whose 45-minute delay proves to be the catalyst for a disastrous meeting that culminates in Julie’s decision to terminate Paula’s services.

The evening brings an unexpected twist: Julie is promoted to CEO, leaving her feeling both elated and bewildered.
