The Care Bears Adventure in Wonderland 1987

In this enchanting adventure, the Care-a-lot gang receives an unexpected visit from the White Rabbit, uncle of Swift Heart Rabbit, who implores their assistance in finding the missing Princess of Heart. Tenderheart Bear, Grumpy, Good Luck, Brave Heart, Lotsa Heart, Swift Heart Rabbit, and the White Rabbit embark on a global quest to locate the Princess, but their efforts prove futile. However, when Grumpy is directed towards a young girl named Alice who bears an uncanny resemblance to the missing royal, the Care Bears decide that she could serve as a suitable proxy until the real Princess is found. As they prepare for this unorthodox solution, the group is torn apart by the Wizard’s dark magic, forcing Grumpy, Swift Heart Rabbit, and the White Rabbit to utilize a rabbit hole to reach Wonderland.

Upon their arrival in this fantastical realm, Tenderheart’s companions receive guidance from Officer Caterpillar, leading them towards the majestic Heart Palace. Meanwhile, the Wizard dispatches his minions, Dim and Dum, to capture Alice using formidable battle robots. However, the Care Bears thwart these nefarious plans with a powerful Care Bear Stare, reuniting Grumpy’s group with their friends.

As the Cheshire Cat appears in all its rapping glory, it splits the group into two, directing Tenderheart, Lotsa Heart, Alice, and the White Rabbit towards Heart Palace while dispatching Brave Heart, Grumpy, Good Luck, and Swift Heart to locate the enigmatic Mad Hatter. This esteemed resident of Wonderland is privy to the Princess’s whereabouts and possesses crucial information that could aid in her rescue.

The Wizard temporarily captures Alice, revealing his intention to govern Wonderland with an iron fist once he claims the throne. Fleeing from captivity, Alice stumbles into the Queen of Hearts’ throne room, where she is unexpectedly accepted as her daughter - albeit a fake one. Brave Heart’s group locates the Mad Hatter, who leads them to the lair of the fearsome Jabberwocky. Grumpy ultimately rescues the Princess from this formidable foe, but not before the Jabberwocky sustains an injury when a thorn becomes lodged in his foot. The Care Bears’ selfless act earns them the gratitude of the Jabberwocky, who prefers to be known as “Stan.” In appreciation for their aid, Stan agrees to assist the Care Bears in their quest to return to Heart Palace and reclaim the Princess.

As the long-awaited day of the Princess’ coronation finally arrives, the enigmatic Wizard conceives a plan to unmask Alice’s true identity before the esteemed court, intent on demonstrating her lack of royal blood. The Wizard, caught off guard by the Princess’ sudden reappearance, is forced to confront the consequences of his duplicitous actions, finally confessing that he had masterminded the princess’s kidnapping. As the Care Bears, Alice, and the fantastical Wonderland characters converge on the Wizard, their collective ire palpable, the appearance of the fearsome Jabberwocky sends the befuddled villain into a state of utter chaos, ultimately leading to his arrest.
