The film begins with a vivid scene along the shoreline, where the sun glints off the ocean and bikini-clad women dot the beach. Among them is U.S. agent Pete Sandza, who is cautiously observing the scene when a sudden onslaught from Islamist terrorists unfolds. In a chaotic moment, his son Robin witnesses as his father takes up arms, but tragedy strikes when an explosion occurs, leading Robin to believe that his father has perished. The young boy is then whisked away, lost in confusion and fear.

As the narrative shifts, we find ourselves on another beach, reminiscent of the previous one, populated once again by women in bikinis. Amidst the casual atmosphere, two students are being followed by a peculiar older man named Raymond. Among them is Gillian, a young woman with psychic abilities akin to Robin’s, who can sense the intentions of the mysterious follower. Strikingly aware of her surroundings, she uses a phone booth to contact Pete, whose interest in locating more individuals with psychic powers is piqued by her call.

However, Pete’s communication is not so private; operatives have tapped his phone and swiftly close in on his location at a hotel. Sensing the imminent danger, Pete makes a daring escape through a window, landing fortuitously in an apartment to change his attire before continuing his search for Robin. Meanwhile, as Gillian’s abilities undergo scrutiny, she begins to receive disturbing premonitions of death related to a stranger.

In a clever disguise as an elderly man, Pete navigates the urban landscape, diligently seeking his son. Unfortunately, his identity is soon uncovered, forcing him to evade capture from multiple pursuers. During this escalating chaos, Gillian’s psychic insights unravel further, leading to terrifying realizations. Seeking aid, she consults Doctor McKeever at a mental institution, where she intends to refine her abilities, but her worries are mounting; with visions of imminent danger and the potential for loss looming in her mind.

As the plot thickens, Pete reconnects with an old flame, Hester, who previously worked at Gillian’s school. Although his primary intent is to gather information, old feelings between them reignite, providing a brief moment of solace amid the turmoil. Misfortunes abound, however, as the connection between Gillian and Pete strengthens when Hester visits her, sparking a deep bond. Yet, Gillian soon experiences a chilling vision of the doctor endangering Robin, prompting her to flee in panic.

In a twist of fate, Childress, a shadowy figure in charge of a military program designed to harness psychic abilities, enters the picture. He is determined to recapture Gillian to exploit her talents. With the stakes raised exponentially, Gillian’s powers grow alongside her connection to Robin, who is engulfed in his own rage and psychic potential.

As she and Pete navigate this maze of danger, desperation causes Gillian to accidentally harm one of the doctor’s assistants, leading to her escape alongside Pete and Hester. This escapade doesn’t come without a price, however, as Hester meets an untimely demise amongst the chaos. With Childress relentlessly pursuing them, the tension escalates, culminating in a race against time to find Robin before it’s too late.

The brewing storm of confrontation finally leads to the compound where Robin is imprisoned. Fearful that he might lose his identity due to Gillian’s arrival, Robin’s mental state deteriorates further as he grapples with his powers. As the inevitable clash unfolds, Pete and Gillian find themselves cornered by Childress and his men. In an emotional climax, Pete confronts Robin, who, overtaken by madness, lashes out in grief and power, leaping from a window in an ill-fated escape attempt.

In his final moments, Robin bestows his psychic abilities upon Gillian as he slips away, leaving Pete devastated beside his son. As the harrowing journey of loss and determination culminates, Gillian awakens to confront Childress with newfound resolve, vowing not to be manipulated into becoming a weapon, leading to explosive consequences that mark the end of the ordeal. > “You will not control me!” And with that, Childress meets a dramatic fate, leaving the story echoing with the weight of psychic legacy and the bond between father and son.
