What profession does Sachiko Hanai have?

Plot Summary

In the vibrant underbelly of Tokyo’s nightlife, Sachiko Hanai (Emi Kuroda) inhabits a realm where fantasy and reality blur. As a call girl with a penchant for sexual roleplay, she dons various personas to satisfy her clients’ desires. But amidst the intoxicating rhythms of a late-night café, Sachiko stumbles upon an unexpected tableau: two men, one a North Korean operative and the other from the Middle East, locked in a tense standoff. The situation quickly spirals out of control as gunshots ring out, and Sachiko, caught in the crossfire, foolishly attempts to capture the chaos on her cell phone. Miraculously, the bullet lodges in her brain, imbuing her with extraordinary mental abilities: she can decipher languages previously unknown to her, tap into ancient philosophical wisdom, unravel complex mathematical conundrums, and even possess extrasensory perception.

As Sachiko flees the scene, she discovers a mysterious metal cylinder in her pocket containing a cloned copy of President George W. Bush’s finger. The North Korean operative, now smitten with Sachiko, becomes obsessed with reclaiming the cylinder, which holds the power to unleash a nuclear catastrophe. Meanwhile, Sachiko finds herself entwined in a complex web of relationships: she befriends and surrenders to a philosophy professor, who hires her as his son’s tutor; and she finds solace in the arms of the professor himself. However, the professor’s wife grows suspicious of Sachiko’s influence on their family and seeks the counsel of a detective – none other than the man responsible for shooting Sachiko.

As tensions escalate, the stakes become clear: the North Korean operative will stop at nothing to reclaim the cylinder and its devastating potential. With her newfound mental abilities guiding her, Sachiko finds herself hurtling towards a climactic showdown that will determine the fate of humanity.
