As the curtain opens on The Last Son, a somber prologue unfolds, revealing Isaac LeMay's (Sam Worthington) dark history on the Great Plains. A ruthless mercenary who had committed atrocities against the Cheyenne tribes, LeMay's conscience was haunted by the prophecy of White Thunder, a powerful chief who cursed LeMay's own bloodline: "Your seed will be your demise." Driven by this ominous prediction, LeMay embarked on a twisted crusade to eliminate his children before they could exact their revenge.

The narrative picks up where LeMay has arrived at the Two-One saloon, a seedy establishment where he encounters Anna (Heather Graham), the mother of his 20-year-old son, Lionel. With calculating precision, LeMay dispatches Lionel in the woods and then pays Anna a visit, demanding information about her other child, unaware that she had deliberately kept this sibling's existence a secret. The encounter devolves into chaos as LeMay exacts brutal vengeance on Anna for withholding the truth, brutally mutilating her fingers before departing.

As the story progresses, LeMay's murderous spree continues, with his next victim being Claire, a woman who had once worked at Two-One but now lived a peaceful life in the woods. Claire's husband and daughter, Megan (Emily Marie Palmer), are spared, but not before LeMay takes out Anna's spouse in a gruesome display of violence.

Meanwhile, the twin sons born to Anna and LeMay - Lionel and Cal Talisker (Machine Gun Kelly) - begin to play a pivotal role in the narrative. Abandoned by their parents and left at a Virginia City orphanage, Cal grows up with a deep-seated anger towards those who had discarded him. He joins the army, honing his skills as a Gatling gun loader before being discharged. Fueled by resentment and neglect, Cal turns to a life of crime, targeting banks and law enforcement officials.

When LeMay kills Lionel, Anna implores Cal to flee to Brooks, Canada, to save his own life. However, the rebellious Cal refuses to heed her warning, opting instead to stockpile ammunition for a final showdown with his father. With each passing moment, it becomes increasingly clear that the cycle of violence will continue unless one of these warring factions can find redemption in the midst of bloodshed.

As the dusty trails of Virginia City whispered secrets to the wind, a seasoned tracker named Solomon (actor name) rode into town, his weathered eyes scanning the landscape for signs of trouble. Sheriff's stoic expression betrayed no hint of surprise as he recounted a tale of violence and bloodshed: six young men had fallen victim to LeMay's wrath just last year, their memories etched in the sheriff's mind like scars on the sun-baked earth.

Solomon's arrival coincided with the simmering embers of revenge burning within LeMay's daughter, Megan. Her adoptive father's cold-blooded killing had left her seething with a desire for retribution, while elsewhere, Cal and his cohorts continued their rampage, leaving a trail of death and destruction in their wake.

As the darkness deepened, lawmen from afar arrived in Virginia City, bearing news of LeMay's brutal past and seeking Solomon's expertise in capturing the elusive outlaw. The tracker's unyielding determination eventually led him to LeMay's doorstep, where he was met with a man consumed by his own demons. LeMay's arrogance had long since given way to ruin, leaving only despair in its wake.

The threads of fate converged as Solomon brought LeMay to the sheriff's office, just as Cal and Anna arrived in town, their escape route carefully laid out. However, before they could flee, Solomon found himself face-to-face with his nemesis inside a local brothel. Cal's cunning proved too great, and the tracker fell victim to his assassin's skill.

In the midst of chaos, LeMay exploited the distraction to slip free from his captors, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. As the dust settled, Cal's men warned him of an otherworldly presence lurking nearby, setting the stage for a final confrontation that would decide the fate of all involved.

The prophecy had foretold the demise of LeMay at the hands of his own flesh and blood; instead, it was his daughter Megan who delivered the fatal blow. The enigmatic nature of Cheyenne's curse remained unresolved, leaving room for speculation: did LeMay survive Megan's bullet, or did he succumb to her deadly aim? The mystery lingered, much like Megan herself, who vanished into the Nevada desert, only to resurface years later as a wife and mother, bearing three children – two elder daughters and a youngest son, a reminder that even the darkest of curses could ultimately be tempered by the power of redemption.
