As Brent, a high school student, drives along winding roads with his father Dan in the passenger seat, a bloodied figure suddenly materializes in the middle of the road. In a split-second choice, Brent swerves to avoid this ominous presence, crashing into a tree and causing a tragic accident that claims his father’s life. The following six months spiral into a dark abyss of guilt and despair as Brent grapples with his loss.

At the same time, the dynamics of school life unfold. Brent tactfully declines an invitation to the formal from Lola Stone, instead choosing to spend precious moments with his girlfriend Holly. Unbeknownst to him, Lola is lurking in the shadows, obsessively observing their clandestine encounters inside Holly’s car. Struggling to cope with his father’s death, Brent resorts to self-destructive behaviors, hiding a razor blade within his necklace as a symbol of his pain.

At home, Carla, Brent’s mother, warns him against riding in the car with inexperienced Holly, but Brent dismisses her concerns and decides to seek solace at a nearby cliff. The only sound accompanying his solitude is distant music, but soon, an unseen force knocks him unconscious, plunging him into a harrowing nightmare.

Brent awakens to find himself bound in a chair, unable to recall how he ended up there. His captors, Lola and her father Eric, have created a grotesque replica of their home designed for a twisted prom night. Alongside them is Bright Eyes, a lobotomized woman oblivious to the horror around her.

The situation escalates when Lola injects Brent’s voice box with bleach, silencing his cries for help. Her sadistic games lead to humiliation and pain, as she restrains him with a brutal assault, pinning him down with knives. In a chilling moment, Lola reveals a scrapbook filled with images of her past victims, including a haunting photograph of Timmy Valentine—the very figure whose presence caused Brent’s traumatic accident.

As Lola’s depravity unfolds, she brands Brent’s chest with her initials, adding salt to his open wound. The disturbing nature of Lola’s relationship with Eric comes to light as they share a dance, entwined in a grotesque display of obsession. Just as hope seems lost, Brent finds a way to rise against his tormentors. An chaotic turn of events sees Eric tumbling into a cellar filled with remnants of previous captives who meet a gruesome fate.

Beyond the grave circumstances, Brent channels his will to survive, seizing a razor-sharp piece from his own wound to confront Eric with unrelenting fury. In a cruel twist of fate, Eric plunges into the cellar, becoming prey to the starving captives. Meanwhile, Lola’s fury peaks as she brutally attacks Brent with various objects, but as her rage is spent, she turns on Bright Eyes, smothering her mother out of jealousy.

Meanwhile, concern for Brent’s safety prompts Holly to alert Mia’s father, a seasoned police officer, who arrives at Lola’s home, only to meet a grisly end at the hands of the merciless Lola. With her vindictive intentions laid bare, Lola threatens Brent with horrific promises of revenge against his mother Carla and the unsuspecting Holly. The somber atmosphere is pierced by Brent’s resurgence from the depths of despair as he confronts the aftermath of the nightmarish events.

In a climactic moment on the road, Brent, now in a police cruiser, makes a decisive move to save Holly by running down the injured Lola, delivering a fatal blow. In the aftermath, Holly joins Brent in the car, leading to an emotional reunion as they confront the reality of their ordeal. The chilling journey concludes with Brent and Holly returning home, greeted by a stunned Carla, who rushes to embrace her son, symbolizing a fragile hope in their restored life.
