As Shale (Tom Berenger), a seasoned mercenary and Vietnam veteran, makes his way back from a harrowing mission in Cuba, he is confronted by a personal catastrophe – his girlfriend, Jane Hetzko, lies in a hospital room, her leg brutally shattered from a knee-cap attack. Driven by a thirst for vengeance and justice, Shale adopts the identity of a Harvard-educated substitute teacher in Miami, using this facade to enlist the help of his former soldiers, each bearing their own psychological scars from prior conflicts, including Raymond Cruz, Luis Guzmán, William Forsythe, and others.

While navigating the treacherous waters of high school dynamics and educational lessons, Shale’s instincts for danger are piqued when he encounters Juan Lacas (portrayed by Marc Anthony), the merciless leader of the notorious gang “Kings of Destruction” (KOD). It soon becomes alarmingly evident that Lacas is behind the attack on Jane; however, this revelation only scratches the surface of his nefarious schemes.

As Shale assembles his team and sets up sophisticated military-grade surveillance equipment within the school’s hallways and restrooms, they unearth a shocking and sinister truth: Lacas has forged an unholy alliance with Principal Rolle (Ernie Hudson) to misuse the school’s buses and their concealed storage for a vast heroin distribution operation throughout Miami.

With his cover unraveling and his personal stakes reaching a critical peak, Shale faces a daunting mission: he must leverage his distinctive skills to infiltrate the inner circle of the KOD gang and dismantle the corrupt system led by Principal Rolle, all before it’s too late. Time is running out, and the safety of countless lives hangs in the balance as the battle between right and wrong heats up.
