Check out what happened in Twist!

In a daring heist, Tom Chitling (no actor specified), a cunning thief, pilfers an envelope from a secure safe and makes his escape, only to be brutally tossed off a building by an unseen perpetrator. The envelope, it seems, was the real prize, left behind as Chitling lay dying. This pivotal moment marks the beginning of a complex tapestry that weaves together the lives of multiple characters.

Flashback to years past, when Oliver, a young boy with a passion for art and free-spirited nature, lived with his mother Molly in a world filled with vibrant colors and brushstrokes. Together, they created breathtaking masterpieces, their hobby bringing them closer together. Tragedy struck, however, when Molly's life was cut short by an unknown force, leaving Oliver feeling lost and alone.

As a coping mechanism, Oliver turned to free running, earning the moniker "Twist" as he navigated the urban landscape with ease. His artistic talents continued to flourish, and his graffiti skills left a lasting impression on the city's walls. One fateful evening, while adding his unique touch to a traffic warden's van, Twist crossed paths with Dodge and Batesey (the Artful Dodger and Charles Bates), two charismatic individuals who would change the course of his life.

The trio escaped into the night, seeking refuge in their den near the Truman Brewery, where they met Fagin, their enigmatic caretaker. The next morning, Twist unleashed his creative energy on a massive scale, adorning a building with an awe-inspiring graffiti mural. Fagin dispatched Red (Nancy Leigh) to extend an invitation to Twist for dinner at her place, a gesture that sparked a romantic connection.

Meanwhile, Fagin confided in his old friend Sikes (Bill Sikes), revealing the truth about Chitling's untimely demise. As Twist settled into their makeshift family, Fagin shared his plan to exact revenge on Dr. Crispin Losberne, an art dealer who had wronged him in the past. The group orchestrated a daring heist, pilfering Losberne's phone and creating a duplicate courtesy of Batesey.

Red, ever the pragmatist, used her charm to secure an internship at Losberne's gallery, allowing Fagin to acquire crucial blueprints for their next move. Twist crossed paths with Sikes and his loyal canine companion, Bull's-Eye, as tensions began to simmer beneath the surface. Fagin revealed a long-standing grudge against Losberne, who had betrayed him in partnership with Isaac Solomon.

Red's cleverness shone through once more as she secretly planted a small explosive device in Losberne's bathroom, prompting the art dealer to move a valuable painting by William Hogarth to higher ground. Back at their hideout, Twist discovered Red's relationship with Sikes, leaving him feeling conflicted and uncertain about his own emotions.

A chance encounter at a local pub brought Red back into Twist's life, as well as a violent confrontation orchestrated by Sikes' goons. Dodge provided the soundtrack for this chaotic scene, spinning Ever Fallen In Love on the jukebox as the group fought to defend themselves. Twist and Red found solace in each other's company, sharing a romantic moment by the pool before making their escape through the park.

Twist's subsequent arrest at the hands of the traffic warden from earlier only served to heighten the stakes. Interrogated by Detectives Brownlow and Bedwin, Twist learned more about Chitling's fate, as well as the true nature of his own connection to Fagin's plans. Released back into the world, Twist rejoined his friends at their hideout, where Batesey had been planning a daring heist to steal the coveted Hogarth painting. With his friend's claustrophobia posing a major hurdle, Twist offered to take Batesey's place in the box, setting the stage for a thrilling adventure that would test their mettle and push them to the limit.

As Losberne uncovers the truth about the thieves, Twist is suddenly ejected from the van, leaving him shaken. Sikes, meanwhile, plucks Batesey from his grasp, only to seemingly snuff out life itself. Upon Twist's return to their hideout, he poses a poignant query: "What became of Tom Chitling?" And it is then that Sikes reveals a devastating truth: Losberne had indeed taken Tom's life.

Meanwhile, Fagin concocts a plan to infiltrate the auction house, donning disguises and expertly executing a stealthy heist. Under the cover of darkness, they slip in unnoticed, with Fagin deftly planting a gun in Losberne's chair. The ensuing evacuation is chaotic, to say the least.

As Twist makes his escape with Dodge, Batesey - miraculously still clinging to life - spills the beans about Sikes' attempted murder. Joining Twist at their hideout, he reveals that Twist had secretly created a duplicate of the painting and stashed the original in a safe location. With Red by his side, Twist and his partner make their daring escape from Sikes' wrath.

In the end, Sikes exacts her revenge on Fagin, but not before she chases them to a rooftop, where Fagin returns fire, sending her plummeting to her demise. A week later, Twist reunites with Bedwin and Brownlow at a cozy café, leaving them an envelope and key as a parting gift.

As the truth begins to unravel, the envelope reveals the painting's rightful owners, while the key unlocks a locker belonging to Losberne - now behind bars for his crimes. Fagin, it turns out, is none other than Isaac Solomon, who passes on his mantle to Twist. The film concludes with Twist calling time on the gang's thieving ways, instead opting to peddle their artistic talents. As he and Red start anew, they find solace in each other's company, their love blossoming like a work of art.
