Plot Summary

As the vibrant Chinese New Year festival in London’s Chinatown reaches its climax, Qin Guoli (Jackson Lou), a humble accountant by trade, finds his life forever altered when Maasym, the ruthless leader of the terrorist organization Brothers of Vengeance, manipulates him into financing their nefarious schemes. Little did Qin know that his decision would ultimately lead to the downfall of Maasym at the hands of Scotland Yard, only for his cunning son Omar (Eyad Hourani) to seek vengeance by kidnapping Qin and his new bride Meiwei during the revelry.

The international security firm Vanguard, dispatched to protect Qin, dispatches a trio of elite agents - Zhang Kaixuan (Ai Lun), Lei Zhenyu (Yang Yang), and Mi Ya (Miya Muqi) - to rescue him from the clutches of Omar’s mercenary gang, the Arctic Wolves. With the operation successfully executed, Qin turns his attention to safeguarding his daughter Fareeda (Xu Ruohan), who finds herself in grave danger after being tracked by Omar and the poaching gang led by Tunda (Tomer Oz) for her tireless activism against wildlife trafficking.

As Tang Huanting (Jackie Chan), Vanguard’s enigmatic director, Tang, Lei, and Mi Ya converge on Africa to extract Fareeda from harm’s way. However, their mission is soon complicated by the presence of the Arctic Wolves, who have been hired as additional muscle to further complicate the situation. In a chaotic initial confrontation, Lei and Fareeda become separated from the rest of the group, forcing Tang and Mi Ya to embark on a perilous journey through the jungle, guided solely by satellite tracking provided by Vanguard headquarters.

Tang and Mi Ya eventually rejoin their comrades, only to find themselves caught in a frenzied river chase involving an amphibious car and jet skis. The high-stakes pursuit ends with Tang and Mi Ya being stranded, while Lei and Fareeda are recaptured by Omar’s henchmen. In a desperate bid to secure Qin’s safe return, Broto (Brahim Achabbakhe), the Arctic Wolves’ leader, proposes a hostage exchange - an offer Qin immediately accepts.

Tang rallies his agents for a daring rescue operation at Omar’s fortress in the Middle Eastern city of Jiadebala. With the assistance of local allies, Vanguard operatives infiltrate the heavily fortified stronghold via the sewer lines and prepare for the next day’s exchange. However, Omar and Broto have anticipated an intervention, and their well-laid plans quickly unravel into a chaotic running gun battle. As Vanguard finds itself encircled and overwhelmed, Qin makes the ultimate sacrifice by surrendering to enable his agents to escape.

As Tang, Lei, Zhang, Mi Ya, and Fareeda converge on the cosmopolitan city of Dubai, they find themselves embroiled in a complex web of intrigue surrounding Maasym’s vast fortune. The late entrepreneur had entrusted his wealth to the city, only to meet an untimely demise before he could finalize a monumental arms deal with Omar. With Maasym’s money now at stake, Omar agrees to complete the transaction, securing a payment of $200 million in gold. This development also presents him with a golden opportunity to exact revenge on Admiral Greg Dawes (Eric Heise), the individual responsible for Maasym’s demise and who has coincidentally arrived in Dubai.

As both sides become increasingly entwined in this delicate dance, Omar, Broto, and Qin meet with arms dealer Josef (Jeffrey Gullbrand) at a second-hand car dealership. Here, they discover that Maasym’s fortune has been converted into an impressive collection of cars crafted from pure gold. In exchange for his fee, paid in the form of two 100-million-dollar gold cars, Josef provides Omar with the control system for a missile attack drone. This coveted technology is intended to be used against Dawes, serving as a tangible manifestation of Omar’s desire for retribution.

Meanwhile, Dubai police launch a strike against the terrorists, inadvertently granting Omar’s party ample time to activate the drone and make their escape in the gold cars. As the Vanguard agents move in to intercept the terrorists, they are alerted by the Dubai police about the impending attack. This forewarning enables US forces to intercept and destroy the drone, effectively neutralizing the threat.

The high-stakes chase culminates inside a bustling shopping mall, where Omar and Broto are eventually overpowered and apprehended. As the dust settles, the protagonists celebrate the Chinese New Year in Dubai, marking the conclusion of this action-packed saga.
