During a violent tornado, teenager Melissa and her family—her parents, Robert and Diane, along with her brother Bobby—seek refuge in their bathroom. Chaos ensues when a tree crashes through their home, blocking the exit and imprisoning them. As the storm rages outside, a snake appears, escalating the situation and increasing the family’s tensions. Struggling with alcohol withdrawal, Robert grows increasingly irate.

Suddenly, a dog materializes outside, and in a surprising twist, it speaks with a male voice, declaring itself a “good boy.” In a shocking turn of events, it bites Melissa, prompting her to violently rip out its tongue. In an act of desperation, Diane cleans the severed tongue, leading the family to bizarrely consume it.

Amidst the turmoil, flashbacks reveal Melissa’s relationship with her girlfriend, Amy. The couple faces relentless bullying and a stalker, Joe, who captures their intimate moments on film. In a moment of frustration, Amy casts a spell on Joe, leading Melissa to unearth their deceased family dog from the backyard to procure its tongue. Tragically, Joe dies as a result. Amy suspects the spell went awry due to an internal conflict she harbors.

As the narrative unfolds, the snake reemerges, and Bobby suffers a bite. Off-screen, chaos erupts as men storm the house, only to be attacked by a monstrous entity. Bobby succumbs to the snake bite, escalating the horrific reality that Melissa and Amy may have inadvertently unleashed these supernatural horrors. In a moment of bleak desperation, Robert, driven mad by withdrawal and alcohol, insists they must feast on Bobby’s remains.

He disrupts a call on Melissa’s phone, hurling it outside as he rants about witches and lashes out at Diane with the snake. In a fierce act of survival, Melissa stabs her father to death with a shard of mirror, a tragic culmination of the family’s descent into madness.

[Whether by chance or fate], Diane breaks through the brick barrier, and when Melissa awakens, she is haunted by a vision of Amy attacking her. Diane returns, bloodied and frantic, just as a loud crash reverberates through the bathroom, leaving the family to confront the terror lurking just beyond their barricade.
