Check out what happened in Young and Wild!

In the vibrant city of Santiago, Chile, 17-year-old Daniela navigates the complexities of adolescence with an insatiable curiosity about her own sexuality. Despite her family's deeply ingrained Protestant beliefs, she boldly explores her desires through a personal blog titled Joven y Alocada (Young and Wild), where she chronicles her experiences with self-discovery, including masturbation, oral sex, and anal sex. As her online presence grows, she attracts a diverse range of comments - from supportive to gossipy to overtly suggestive - which only fuels her desire for authenticity.

When Daniela is caught having sex with another student, she is swiftly expelled from her conservative Christian school. Her mother remains stoic upon receiving the news, but Daniela's world is soon turned upside down as she learns that her beloved aunt, a free-spirited individual who serves as her role model, is hospitalized due to cancer. The aunt implores Daniela's mother not to send the girl away to pursue arduous missionary work, instead urging her to let Daniela find her own path.

Daniela finds solace in a job at a local Christian television station, where she befriends co-workers Tomás and Antonia. She is immediately drawn to Tomás, whose charming persona sparks intense fantasies within her. The two begin dating, but their physical intimacy is hampered by Tomás' reluctance to engage in premarital sex. Frustrated, Daniela attempts to seduce him, with varying degrees of success. After confiding in Antonia about her struggles, she's invited to a party where she briefly performs oral sex on Tomás before he stops her.

As tensions rise, Daniela and Antonia begin an affair that Daniela documents on her blog, further blurring the lines between her online persona and real-life relationships. Her parents grow increasingly trusting of Tomás, allowing him to spend time with their daughter unsupervised. However, Tomás' inhibitions finally break down when Daniela questions whether he truly has romantic feelings for her. The two finally share a physical connection, leaving Daniela torn between her deep emotional connections with both Antonia and Tomás.

Antonia soon expresses discontent with their covert relationship, insisting they go public. However, Daniela remains unwilling to commit to a single partner, instead opting to navigate the complexities of polyamory. After a prayer session by her family seemingly foils a robbery attempt, Daniela begins to question not only her spirituality but also her moral compass, setting the stage for a tumultuous journey of self-discovery and growth.

As Daniela's sudden declaration of intent to be baptized sends shockwaves through her online community and family circle, her loved ones are left reeling in surprise. Her enthusiasm is palpable as she prepares for a lakeside baptism ceremony, eerily mirroring the very same ritual her aunt had experienced years prior. However, the tranquility of this intimate moment is shattered when Tomás and Antonia stumble upon Daniela's blog, revealing to them the truth about her deceitful infidelity. Consumed by rage and betrayal, both individuals sever their ties with Daniela, leaving her reeling from the devastating consequences. The fallout is swift and merciless as Daniela's mother unleashes a fierce rebuke, lambasting her daughter for her treachery. Just as the dust settles on this turbulent episode, fate intervenes once more, claiming the life of Daniela's aunt. In the aftermath of this tragedy, Daniela is left grappling with existential questions that probe the very fabric of spirituality and relationships. As she closes the film with a poignant voice-over, quoting Paul the Apostle's timeless wisdom, Daniela reaffirms her commitment to the innocent ideals of her childhood, marking a crucial turning point in her journey towards self-discovery.
