Plot Summary

The film kicks off with Eugene (Slade Pearce) and his close friend Tucker (Remy Thorne) during their childhood. Curiosity leads them to sneak into Eugene’s brother’s closet, where they discover a treasured Michael Jordan rookie card, along with an issue of Playboy. Tucker is instantly captivated by the magazine, and within weeks, his personality shifts dramatically, taking on the traits of a hormone-driven pre-teen despite being only eight years old. Fast forward ten years, and we find Eugene, now played by Zach Cregger (Zach Cregger), and Tucker, still tight-knit as high school seniors.

Tucker remains infatuated with the Playboy brand, while Eugene is in a two-year relationship with Cindi Whitehall (Raquel Alessi), advocating for abstinence to younger students. However, Cindi has other intentions, indicating that if Eugene isn’t her first sexual experience, they’ll face serious problems. They plan to consummate their relationship at a prom after-party, which Tucker is organizing. On prom night, Tucker arrives with a limousine, which unexpectedly brings along his high school dropout friend known as Horsedick MPEG ([Craig Robinson]), now a self-proclaimed MC.

During the after-prom festivities, while Cindi prepares herself upstairs, Tucker introduces Eugene to a series of hard shots in the kitchen. Unfortunately, Eugene missteps while trying to find Cindi, inadvertently plunging down a staircase into the basement, leading to a four-year coma. Following Eugene’s awakening, Tucker informs him that Cindi initially stood by him but ultimately left as Eugene had become “a vegetable.” In the true comedic spirit, he attempts to bring humor during a tough time by visiting Eugene with the latest Playboy edition. To Tucker’s surprise, he stumbles upon a centerfold featuring Cindi, prompting him to hatch a plan for a cross-country trip to the Playboy Mansion, where a birthday celebration is scheduled to take place in just a few days.

As Tucker embarks on the road trip alongside Eugene, he rushes out of the hospital due to a prior incident involving his girlfriend Candace. Their journey creates comical challenges, including an encounter with Candace’s brother Rick, resulting in a chaotic escape. Once they reach Chicago, they reconnect with their friend MPEG, who has gained fame in the rap scene. Unfortunately, after a fallout, Tucker and Eugene find themselves stranded and must navigate the remaining distance by foot.

Their luck changes when two women offer them a deal—the boys will drive while they enjoy a private rendezvous in the back. Eventually, their adventures lead them to the Mansion’s entrance, although they are thwarted by bouncers. A fire truck arrives unexpectedly, prompting the duo to disguise themselves in firefighter uniforms to infiltrate the event. Soon, Candace tries to find Tucker, followed by the fire crew, which heightens the tension.

In a twist of fate, while Tucker flirts with several models, he encounters Hugh Hefner himself, who imparts advice about love and attraction, suggesting that “there is a bunny in every woman.” Meanwhile, Eugene’s search for Cindi leads him to confront her, resulting in a heart-wrenching exchange where he accuses her of abandonment. Cindi counters with heartfelt revelations about how her modeling helped cover his medical expenses during his coma.

As the chaos unfolds, the friends are ejected from the mansion, but reconciliation begins. Candace forgives Tucker, and they reignite their romance, while Eugene confronts MPEG, revealing his vulnerabilities. In the end, after a humorous sequence of events, Eugene and Tucker find themselves back at the Mansion. This time, unity prevails as Eugene finally follows through on his long-awaited moment with Cindi, echoing the very circumstances that initially caused their tumultuous separation.
