With their mission compromised, they are forced to flee through the streets, seeking safety and evading capture.

As the situation escalates, they find themselves on foot after Terra’s partner, Masego, is shot and the van’s tires are rendered useless. Their desperate escape leads them into the depths of the sewage tunnels, where they emerge unexpectedly through a manhole. However, the police spot them, and to evade capture, the trio rushes into a nearby central bank.

Inside the bank, Calvin (who is portrayed with a mix of courage and authority) addresses the clientele and bank employees. He emphasizes that they are not there to rob anyone, but rather seeks their cooperation to ensure the situation remains peaceful. The bank supervisor, Christine, comes forth as a figure of calmness and understanding in the midst of chaos.

Captain Langerman takes charge of the scene, identifying the trio and fueling suspicions of a mole within their ranks. Seeking an airborne escape, they request a helicopter and an unarmed pilot while mentioning the presence of an American in the bank. In a twist of fate, they opt for a tall white Boer instead, dismissing the American who turns out to also be black. Doubts surface for Aldo, who finds the plan suspicious and hesitates. Tensions rise when the pilot reveals a hidden gun, leading to a struggle in which the trio disarms him and subsequently returns indoors, igniting a cross-section of fear and determination.

Calvin’s discovery of the pilot’s tattoo—a black white supremacist motif—adds another layer of intensity to their already precarious situation. News arrives that a new commander, known as ‘Little Crocodile,’ and his Brigadier have come in due to the revelation that Christine is the Justice Minister’s daughter. This factor escalates the stakes for the freedom fighters, as they recognize this might indeed be their last opportunity to make a resounding statement.

Calvin, grasping the gravity of the situation, decides to instigate a movement, demanding that Nelson Mandela be pardoned and released. They focus on a substantial pile of money, allowing an American boxing promoter to ignite it for the cameras while Calvin passionately leads the chant for Mandela’s freedom.

Meanwhile, as Aldo and the pilot head to the restroom, Aldo senses grave danger and, in a fit of desperation, kills the pilot to prevent his own exposure. Calvin discovers their lifeless bodies and the duo hides the evidence deftly.
