Plot Summary
Peter Neal, portrayed by Anthony Franciosa, is a celebrated American author known for his graphic horror novels that have garnered immense popularity across Europe. While in Italy to publicize his latest work titled Tenebrae, he is accompanied by his literary agent, John Saxon, and his devoted assistant, Daria Nicolodi. Unbeknownst to him, his ex-wife Jane, played by Veronica Lario, lurks in the shadows, harboring bitter feelings.
Just before Neal arrives in Rome, a young shoplifter, portrayed by Ania Pieroni, meets a gruesome fate—a brutal razor-slasher silently claims her life. Following this, a chilling letter reaches Neal, stating that his writings have incited a killing frenzy.
