Born as Hannah Dakota Fanning on February 23, 1994, Dakota Fanning is a renowned American actress who gained prominence at a tender age of seven. Fanning's breakthrough performance came when she portrayed the daughter of an intellectually challenged man in the film,I Am Sam (2001) which earned her a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. This made her the youngest nominee in the history of SAG. She continued her career as a child actress with conspicuous roles in films such as Uptown Girls( 2003), Man on Fire (2004), War of the Worlds (2005), and The Secret Life of Bees( 2008) among many others. She was also the leading voice character in Coraline (2009).

Progressing to adult roles, Fanning starred in independent movies such as The Runaways (2010), Now Is Good (2012) and had a recurring role in The Twilight Saga (2009–2012). She has since portrayed various characters in Quentin Tarantino's film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), Susan Ford in the drama series The First Lady (2022), and a CIA agent in The Equalizer 3 (2023). In 2024, she starred in the thriller miniseries The Perfect Couple and Ripley. Her role in Ripley earned her a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress. Fanning's act in the film industry continues to be applauded as she consistently bags roles in notable projects.
