What's After the Movie
Australian actor **Damon Herriman** (born 31 March 1970) is known for his prominent roles in several popular television shows and films. With a career that began in 1978, he honed his talents on various platforms across the globe. Best known for his performances as Dewey Crowe in the FX neo-western crime series *Justified* and Romeo in the Starz drama miniseries *Flesh and Bone*, Herriman has successfully portrayed a range of complex characters. Interestingly, he has played the character of Charles Manson twice, once in the Netflix psychological crime thriller series *Mindhunter*, and later in Quentin Tarantino's comedy-drama film, *Once Upon a Time in Hollywood*, both released in 2019. Born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia, he embarked on his acting journey at the tender age of eight, performing in local television commercials. He tasted fame after being cast as Frank Errol in The Sullivans, a role which netted him three Logie Award nominations. In his career, Herriman has continually diversified his roles across film, television and theatre. Outside of acting, he has also embarked on other creative pursuits, including writing and directing short films, thereby enhancing his already impressive filmography. He won the AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his display in the black comedy film *Judy and Punch* (2019) and left an imprint on critics with his portrayal of Ruse in the historical psychological thriller film *The Nightingale* (2018).
