Dolph Lundgren

Hans 'Dolph' Lundgren was born on 3 November 1957 in Spånga, Stockholm County, Sweden. He is a Swedish-American actor, filmmaker, and martial artist who also holds expertise in chemical engineering. Lundgren's career took off in the 1980s when he starred as the lead villain, an imposing Soviet boxer named Ivan Drago, in Sylvester Stallone's 'Rocky IV'. His performance in the movie skyrocketed his popularity and established him as a notable name in the Hollywood industry. Known for his unique blend of martial arts skills and acting prowess, Lundgren went on to play lead roles in more than 80 action-oriented films. He returned to prominece in 2010 when he starred in Sylvester Stallone's 'The Expendables' and has reprised his role in its sequels. An accomplished martial artist, Lundgren's success is not just limited to acting as he has also made a name for himself through his martial arts expertise, holding a 4th dan black belt in Kyokushin karate. Additionally, he has ventured into movie direction with noteworthy projects to his credit such as 'The Defender', 'The Mechanik', and 'Missionary Man'.
