Freddie Stroma, born Frederic Wilhelm C. J. Sjöström on January 8, 1987, is a British actor recognized for his versatile roles. These include his portrayal of Cormac McLaggen in the Harry Potter film series, Adam Cromwell in the Lifetime series Unreal, Brit Vayner in 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016), H. G. Wells in the ABC series Time After Time, and Adrian Chase / Vigilante in the DC Extended Universe series Peacemaker. Born in London, England, he was brought up in Ascot, Berkshire. Before diving into acting, Stroma studied at Sunningdale School, Radley College in Oxfordshire, and later pursued neuroscience at University College London. His initiation into acting came at the age of 16 when he was accepted into the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. Stroma juggled his education and acting, taking a year off from university to act in the Harry Potter series. He returned to complete his degree in Neuroscience after filming. Even as a student, Stroma worked as a model to aid financially, and once modelled for Acne Underwear Collection.
