Jared Leto

**Jared Leto** (born **Jared Joseph Leto**) was born on **December 26, 1971**. He is an American actor and musician, notable for his method acting in various roles. Over his career spanning three decades, he has garnered numerous accolades including an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Leto is also recognized for his musicianship and distinguished stage persona as the frontman of the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars. He began his career on the television series My So-Called Life (1994) before making his film debut in How to Make an American Quilt (1995). After garnering critical attention for his performance in Prefontaine (1997) and supporting roles in films such as Fight Club (1999) and American Psycho (2000), he received praise for his lead role in Requiem for a Dream (2000).
