She initiated her career in the New York City-based Roundabout Theatre Company as an understudy. Garner quickly climbed the ladder of fame with her role in Fox's teen drama series 'Time of Your Life' and her performances in the war drama 'Pearl Harbor' and the comedy-drama 'Catch Me If You Can'.

Garner had a breakthrough with the Golden Globe-winning role of Sydney Bristow in the ABC action thriller 'Alias'. Since then, Garner has starred in several films such as the biographical drama 'Dallas Buyers Club'. Furthermore, Garner is no stranger to Rom-coms, with notable performances in '13 Going on 30', 'Juno' and 'Valentine's Day'.
