John Felix Anthony Cena, known as John Cena, is an American actor, professional wrestler, and rapper who has been with WWE since 2001, performing full-time till 2018 and part-time thereafter. A record 16-time world champion as recognized by WWE alongside Ric Flair, Cena is widely regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He switched careers from bodybuilding to professional wrestling in 1999, debuted for Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW), and signed with WWE in 2001. Cena has held the WWE Championship a record 13 times, the WWE United States championship five times, and has headlined multiple major WWE pay-per-views. His starring roles in films such as Trainwreck (2015), Ferdinand (2017), Blockers (2018), and Bumblebee (2018) have earned him praise. In entertainment, he is known for charitable causes, having granted over 650 wishes for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Born in West Newbury, Massachusetts, on April 23, 1977, Cena was educated at Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts. He idolized Hulk Hogan growing up, moving to California in 1998 to start his professional wrestling career. He wrestled at local flea markets before joining WWE's main roster in 2002. This wrestling prodigy would go on to become one of WWE'S most successful stars. As an actor, he had his big-screen debut in The Marine (2006) and his career has been on the rise since.
