John Malkovich

**John Gavin Malkovich**, born on December 9, 1953, is an acclaimed American actor who has been gracing the stage and screen since 1976. Not only limited to acting, he has also made his mark as a producer and director. Born and brought up in Christopher, Illinois, he moved to Chicago and began his career as a founding member of the influential Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Malkovich then moved to New York City and continued his theatre work, acting in acclaimed productions and making his Broadway debut in Arthur Miller's play Death of a Salesman. His noteworthy performances, both onstage and on-screen, have gathered several esteemed accolades including a Primetime Emmy Award along with nominations for two Academy Awards, a BAFTA Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards. Beyond his acting prowess, he made waves by producing films like Ghost World and Juno. On television, his performance in Death of a Salesman earned him a Primetime Emmy Award. Malkovich is also known for his directing skills, having directed the Harold Pinter play The Caretaker. He has successfully left an indelible mark in numerous films such as Places in the Heart, The Killing Fields, Of Mice and Men, Being John Malkovich, and Red, among others. He has consistently been active in his craft, not showing signs of slowing down even after decades in the industry. Some of his recent television roles have been in Billions, The New Pope, and Space Force. Also a fashion designer, Malkovich created his own fashion company, Mrs. Mudd, and released a menswear collection. Beyond all his professional accomplishments, he has two children with his long-term partner, Nicoletta Peyran.
