Jordana Brewster is a critically acclaimed American actress known for her diverse roles on screen. She made her acting debut in a 1995 episode of the popular daytime soap opera All My Children and subsequently assumed the recurring role as Nikki Munson in As the World Turns. Her consistent and outstanding performance garnered her a nomination for Outstanding Teen Performer at the 1997 Soap Opera Digest Award. She ventured into the world of feature films with Robert Rodriguez's horror-science fiction The Faculty (1998). The turning point of Brewster's career came with her role in the fast-paced action film The Fast and the Furious (2001). She made her mark in this popular franchise by reprising the role in several of its sequels. In addition to the Fast & Furious franchise, she also had significant roles in films like The Invisible Circus (2001), D.E.B.S. (2004), and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006). From 2012 to 2014, Brewster took a shift towards television, starring in the re-booted TNT series Dallas. She also played significant roles in series like American Crime Story (2016) and Lethal Weapon (2016–2018).

She was born in Panama City, Panama, on April 26, 1980. Her father, an American investment banker, and her mother, a Brazilian former swimsuit model, reflect her multi-cultural upbringing. An eminent part of her pedigree includes her grandfather, Kingman Brewster Jr., a notable figure in the American academic and diplomatic landscape. After spending the initial years of her life in diverse locations such as London and Brazil, she moved to Manhattan, New York City, at the age of 10. She pursued her education at the Convent of the Sacred Heart and graduated from the Professional Children's School. Brewster later completed her graduation in English Literature from Yale University in 2003. Her personal life also garnered media attention with her marriage to film and television producer Andrew Form, with whom she had two sons born via surrogacy.
