Lamorne Morris is a highly skilled American actor and comedian, widely known for his dynamic roles, including Winston Bishop from Fox's sitcom New Girl (2011–2018), Daniel in Call Me Kat, and Darrin Morris in the National Geographic docudrama Valley of the Boom(2019), which took a deep dive into the 90s tech boom. He also landed the role of cartoonist Keef Knight in the Hulu comedy Woke (2020–2022), and North Dakota State Trooper Whitley "Witt" Farr in the fifth season of Fargo. His exemplary performance in Fargo earned him a prestigious Primetime Emmy Award. He has also showcased his talent in supporting roles in films like Barbershop: The Next Cut (2016), Game Night (2018), Jumanji: The Next Level (2019), and Yesterday (2019). Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Morris relocated to the western suburb of Glen Ellyn as a teenager. After a study stint at the College of DuPage, where he scored the Chris Farley Memorial Acting Scholarship, Morris ventured into television. He hosted an interactive tech and gaming show, HotWyred, for BET. He hosted another game show BrainRush as part of CN Real on Cartoon Network. His notable break came with the role of Winston Bishop in the comedy series New Girl. In 2019, he became a spokesman for various companies, including the Canadian-based Bank of Montreal. Morris also co-hosted Welcome to Our Show, a New Girl rewatch podcast with co-stars Hannah Simone and Zooey Deschanel, distributed by IHeartRadio. Infusing his latest roles with humor, he has been cast to play Robbie Robertson in the upcoming Spider-Noir television show on Amazon Prime Video.
