Luci Christian

Louisa Michelle 'Luci' Christian (born March 18, 1973) is a renowned American voice actress and ADR script writer. Christian grew up in Texas with her high school teacher parents, Mike and Barbara. She showed her inclination to acting from a young age, participating in local beauty pageants and later involving herself in high school theatre programs. Initially pursuing journalism in college, she switched to theatre after being offered a scholarship. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Theatre from Angelo State University and her Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from Louisiana State University, Christian embarked on her anime career at ADV Films in Houston. Following her initial entry to the industry with small roles, Christian's breakthrough came when she landed the starring role of Kaname Chidori in the acclaimed Full Metal Panic! series. Her repertoire contains a wide variety of characters, including, but not limited to, Asako Kurumi in Kodocha, Tenma Tsukamoto in School Rumble, and Hitomi Kashiwa in Welcome to the NHK. One of her most celebrated roles is the voice of Nami in the long-running anime series, One Piece.

In 2007, Christian received notable recognition for her talent and was nominated for Best Actress at the American Anime Awards. Continuing to excel in her career, she landed roles in Bamboo Blade, D.Gray-man, Clannad series, Birdy the Mighty Decode, and Corpse Princess. In 2010 she voiced the character Medusa in the Soul Eater anime series. The following years saw her starring in anime like Bodacious Space Pirates, Kokoro Connect, My Hero Academia. She then went on to voice Chihaya Ayase in Sentai Filmworks' English dub of Chihayafuru while lending her voice to Hestia in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? and Touko Nanami in Bloom Into You. Christain is married to Michael Bell, with whom she has two daughters, and currently resides in Houston, Texas.
