Michael Fassbender, born 2 April 1977, is a remarkable German-Irish actor known for his potent portrayals in a variety of film genres. He owes his fame to numerous accolades, which include nominations for two Academy Awards, four BAFTA Awards and three Golden Globe Awards. He made his debut in the feature film '300' in 2006 and initially gained prominence for his role as Bobby Sands in 'Hunger' (2008), an act which won him a British Independent Film Award. He then starred in mainstream movies such as the X-Men series and 'Prometheus' (2012) and its sequel 'Alien: Covenant' (2017). His remarkable performance as a sex addict in 'Shame' (2011) won him the Volpi Cup for Best Actor. He further thrilled the audience with his role in '12 Years a Slave' (2013), earning him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. After a brief hiatus from acting, Fassbender returned to the scene with a leading role in the action thriller film 'The Killer' (2023). Not limiting himself to the acting arena, he began competing in auto racing in 2017 with the Ferrari Challenge and as of 2023, he races in the European Le Mans Series, driving for Proton Competition.
