She made her feature film debut as Kristen Parker in 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors' (1987) and has since starred in many acclaimed film and television productions. Her portrayals have won her several awards, including an Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards. Some of her notable roles include those in 'True Romance' (1993), 'Ed Wood' (1994), 'Flirting with Disaster' (1996), and 'Lost Highway' (1997). From 2005 to 2011, she starred in the supernatural drama series 'Medium', for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2005.
