Raúl Arévalo Zorzo, widely known as Raúl Arévalo, is an acclaimed Spanish actor and director who was born on 22 November 1979 in Móstoles, a city in the province of Madrid. He burst onto the television scene in the early 2000s, appearing in the series Compañeros from 2001 to 2002 while he was still a student under Cristina Rota. His feature film debut came in 2003 with the film 'With George Bush on My Mind', and he subsequently appeared in a number of high-profile films and television productions. His major breakout role came in 2006 when he played Israel, the lead character's best friend, in the hit film 'Dark Blue Almost Black' directed by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo. **Arévalo** went on to receive several awards for his outstanding performance in this movie. The same year, he appeared in Antonio Banderas' directorial piece 'Summer Rain'. He continued to star in numerous films including 'Scandalous' and 'Seven Billiard Tables', both in 2007 alongside Maribel Verdú. In 2008, he again collaborated with Verdú in 'The Blind Sunflowers' and later in 2009, he starred in Sánchez Arévalo's 'Fat People' which earned him a Goya Award for Best Supporting Actor. Not only is he a gifted actor but **Arévalo** has also proven his proficiency as a director. He made his full-length directorial debut in 2016 with 'The Fury of a Patient Man' which won him a Goya Award for Best New Director and another for Best Original Screenplay. In addition to his accomplishments in film and television, he has also appeared in numerous stage productions and short films including 'Traumalogy' (Traumalogía, 2007).
