Sara Paxton, born April 25, 1988, is an accomplished American actress and singer. Starting her acting journey at an early age, she first appeared in minor film roles and television shows before making her breakout in October 2002. Her most notable roles in the early 2000s included Sarah Tobin in Greetings from Tucson and the titular role in Darcy's Wild Life. Not limiting herself to television, she also made considerable strides in film with roles in Aquamarine, Return to Halloweentown, Sydney White, Superhero Movie, The Last House on the Left, The Innkeepers, and The Front Runner.

Paxton's early life was spent in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, the daughter of dentists Lucia and Steve Paxton. Her cultural background is a unique mix of Jewish and English-Scottish heritage. Despite her early entry into acting, she managed to graduate from El Camino Real High School in 2006. Throughout her career, she continued her passion for singing alongside her acting pursuits. Her early years were a tightly knit combination of singing and acting performances. Her first film role was in 1997's Liar Liar. From there, she appeared in a variety of television and film roles, even lending her voice to the popular SpongeBob SquarePants series. Throughout the late 2000s and into the 2010s, Paxton remained an active and acclaimed presence in both mainstream and indie cinema. She signed a record deal with Epic Records and was set to release a debut music CD, which has yet to come to fruition.
