Tom Hardy

**Edward Thomas Hardy**, better known as **Tom Hardy**, is an internationally recognized English actor. Hardy got his start studying acting at the Drama Centre London, making his film debut in Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down in 2001. He has consistently maintained robust supporting roles in films, including Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) and RocknRolla (2008). He demonstrated his versatility as a lead actor in films such as Bronson (2008), Warrior (2011), Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011), Lawless (2012), This Means War (2012), and Locke (2013). In 2015, Hardy took on dual roles in both the post-apocalyptic action film Mad Max: Fury Road and the crime thriller Legend, earning him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Hardy has worked with acclaimed director Christopher Nolan in films like Inception (2010), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), and Dunkirk (2017). His work extends to the small screen, where he has appeared in HBO's Band of Brothers (2001), BBC's The Virgin Queen (2005), and crime drama series Peaky Blinders (2014–2022). He also co-produced and starred in the historical fiction mini-series Taboo (2017). In addition to his screen work, Hardy has performed on both British and American stages, earning a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for his role in the production of In Arabia We'd All Be Kings (2003). Hardy's contribution to drama was recognized in 2018 when he was appointed a CBE. Away from the screen, Hardy actively engages in charity work and serves as an ambassador for the Prince's Trust.
