Brian Levant

Brian Michael Levant, born on August 6, 1952, is a trusted name in the American filmmaking industry. Born to a Jewish family in Highland Park, Illinois, Levant initiated his career in 1976 as a writer for the popular TV series, Happy Days. His writing credits stretch across multiple television shows including, The Jeffersons, Mork & Mindy, and Still the Beaver. Levant's directorial legacies are best remembered in the films such as Beethoven, The Flintstones and its prequel in 2000, Viva Rock Vegas, Jingle All the Way, Snow Dogs and Are We There Yet?. Despite facing criticism from film critics, Levant's work remains popular among audiences. Levant once responded to his critics by arguing that he makes movies for the young audience, similar to himself when he was a child. Levant has been active in the film industry since 1976 and shows no signs of slowing down. Apart from his filmography, Levant is also known for his vast collection of 20th century toys and pop culture memorabilia, which was showcased in a 2022 book titled "My Life and Toys".
