Who is the main villain in 101 Dalmatians?

Plot Summary

Roger Dearly (Jeff Daniels), a bespectacled American video game designer, shares his cozy London abode with Pongo, his faithful pet dalmatian. One fateful day, while strolling through the streets of London, Roger and Pongo stumble upon Perdy, a ravishing female dalmatian who has caught Pongo’s eye. The canine courtship is soon mirrored by their human counterparts, as Roger and Anita Campbell-Green (Joely Richardson), a stunning fashion designer at the esteemed House of de Vil, find themselves smitten. Their whirlwind romance culminates in a fairytale wedding, with Roger and Anita exchanging vows.

Anita’s creative spark is ignited by her canine companions, inspiring her to design a coat adorned with spotted fur. However, her boss, the diabolical Cruella de Vil (Glenn Close), has an insatiable passion for not only cigarettes but also fur - specifically, the kind that can be obtained from Dalmatians. When Anita’s own dog gives birth to 15 adorable puppies, Cruella seizes upon the opportunity to acquire the coveted pelts. Although Roger and Anita decline her offer, Cruella becomes enraged and terminates Anita’s employment at the House of de Vil.

Undeterred, Cruella dispatches her nefarious henchmen, Jasper (Hugh Laurie) and Horace (Mark Williams), to pilfer the puppies. The cunning canine quartet manages to outsmart their captors, leading a daring escape to a rural farm where their parents await. However, Cruella’s malevolent plans are soon foiled when she attempts to retrieve the puppies at the farm, only to be beset by a series of comically unfortunate events: a pig’s sitting on her, followed by a precipitous fall into a vat of molasses courtesy of some mischievous raccoons. The Metropolitan Police Service ultimately apprehends Cruella and her accomplices, freeing the Dalmatian puppies from their clutches.

In the aftermath, Roger and Anita welcome an expanded family of 101 Dalmatians, including those they rescued from Cruella’s grasp. As a testament to his creative genius, Roger designs a bestselling video game featuring dalmatian puppies as the heroes and the villainous Cruella as her malevolent self. With their newfound wealth, the happy couple relocates to the picturesque English countryside, where they can enjoy their love and their furry family in a tranquil setting.
