Who are the three robbers in 'Albino Alligator'?

Plot Summary

In this tense and unpredictable thriller, brothers Dova (Matt Dillon) and Milo (Gary Sinise), along with their partner Law (William Fichtner), embark on a disastrous heist in New Orleans. The botched robbery results in the senseless killing of a police officer and two others, forcing the trio to seek refuge at Dino’s Last Chance bar. As they take everyone inside hostage, Milo lies gravely wounded and bleeding, while Law revels in his capacity for violence and destruction.

As federal agents, led by the seasoned Browning (Joe Mantegna), close in on the besieged bar, a desperate struggle for survival ensues. Bar employee Janet (Faye Dunaway) valiantly attempts to reason with the hostage-takers, but her efforts are futile. Behind the scenes, Dino, the proprietor, harbors a shotgun and waits for an opportunity to strike back against Law. However, when he does, Law gains the upper hand and brutally bludgeons him.

As Milo’s life slips away, the robbers’ demands to the authorities go unmet, and Dova is faced with an impossible decision: surrender or succumb to Law’s ruthless tactics, which include taking innocent lives as hostages. The latter option sends shivers down the spines of everyone inside, including Danny (Skeet Ulrich), a young man who happens to be Janet’s son.

Meanwhile, a seemingly passive observer lurks in the shadows - Foucard (Viggo Mortensen), a well-dressed individual with secrets of his own. Unbeknownst to the others, Foucard is a wanted fugitive, and the authorities are eager to apprehend him. As Dova and Law prepare to hand over Foucard to the police and masquerade as hostages, it becomes clear that the true nature of their predicament has only just begun to unfold.

As the tense standoff continued to unfold, Milo implored his comrades, Dova and Law, to swear on their mothers’ graves that they would spare no lives further. The solemn oath was met with a mixture of reluctance and resignation, as both Dova and Law eventually acquiesced, only for Law’s resolve to crumble in the face of adversity, leading him to contemplate taking matters into his own hands. Meanwhile, Dova seemed to share Law’s sentiment, ultimately succumbing to the pressure and abandoning his initial promise.

As Milo grew increasingly disenchanted with the situation, he made the fateful decision to surrender himself to the authorities. However, Dova, determined to keep his comrade from escaping, brandished a firearm and held Milo captive. The moment Dova and Law departed the scene, Milo seized the opportunity to use the knife previously obtained from a hostage to inflict self-harm, bringing about a tragic demise.

The devastating discovery of Milo’s fate left Dova wracked with grief, as he struggled to come to terms with the gravity of the situation. In the aftermath, Dova and Law prepared to hand over Foucard, the notorious fugitive, to the authorities. As the police finally stormed the location, a barrage of gunfire ensued, resulting in the demise of both Law and Foucard.

In the end, Dova and the actual hostages were granted permission to leave the bar, their ordeal at an end. In a surprising turn of events, Janet took it upon herself to cover for Dova, acknowledging his pivotal role in preventing further bloodshed by keeping Law from harming any more innocent lives.
