Holly Pierpoint (Flaire Forlani), a woman of refined sophistication and academic prowess, embarks on a clandestine meeting with her youthful paramour Everett Alan (Jake Abel) in the picturesque town of Aspen, Colorado. As she arrives at the appointed hotel, she's met with an air of mystery, as the room is prepared for their tryst with meticulous attention to detail. The blindfold and handcuffs left for her serve as a tantalizing reminder of the thrill-seeking nature of their illicit affair.

As Holly settles into the bedroom, unaware of the duplicity that lies ahead, she's suddenly confronted by an unexpected visitor: her husband Russell Pierpoint (Titus Welliver), a man whose presence in her life is marked by both tenderness and brutality. Their encounter is marred by Russell's rough behavior, which Holly initially enjoys but ultimately finds herself powerless to stop.

As the day wears on, Holly's world is turned upside down when she discovers that her husband has been manipulating Everett, using their love against them as a means of exacting revenge. Russell's machinations are revealed through a series of cryptic phone calls, designed to pit Holly and Everett against each other in a desperate bid for dominance.

As the tension builds, Holly finds herself trapped in a web of deceit, with Russell pulling the strings from behind the scenes. Her attempts to escape or uncover the truth are thwarted at every turn, leaving her feeling vulnerable and helpless. Meanwhile, Everett is subjected to similar manipulation, forced to play along with Russell's sinister game.

As the stakes grow higher, Holly and Everett become increasingly entangled in a cycle of violence and betrayal, their love for each other serving as the only constant in an otherwise chaotic landscape. With Russell pulling the strings from above, it becomes clear that nothing is as it seems, and the true extent of his manipulation will only be fully revealed when the dust settles on this twisted game of cat and mouse.

Holly's awakening is met with a jarring reality: she's shackled to a railing, her arms stretched out like a supplicant's. Her accusatory gaze fixes on Everett, whom she vehemently accuses of being a calculating serial killer. She warns him that Russell, the authorities' most trusted enforcer, will soon be knocking on their door, intent on putting an end to his perceived reign of terror. Unbeknownst to Holly, Everett has already discovered Russell's brutalized form, bound and helpless in their bedroom. With a heavy heart, he releases Holly from her restraints, allowing them to bear witness to Russell's slow, agonizing demise, courtesy of an unknown sedative coursing through his veins.

As the dark veil descends, a disembodied voice materializes, its distorted tone eerily commanding. The ultimatum is clear: only one of the star-crossed lovers will be permitted to escape the hotel's confines and rejoin the world beyond. Everett's fate is sealed; Holly, fueled by rage and desperation, seizes her chance, plunging a deadly blow into his chest.

But the true horror has only just begun. A cryptic caller instructs Holly to destroy the phone, then invites her to visit room 513 to unravel the tangled threads of their twisted tale. Upon arrival, she discovers a surveillance system meticulously recording every move they made in the hotel room – including Everett's gruesome demise. The truth begins to unravel as she finds Lydia (Melina Matthews), Everett's wife, bound and helpless in the bathtub, her ring finger brutally severed.

Holly's compassion compels her to free Lydia, who then reveals a sinister secret: she had previously dispatched Everett's other two lovers with ruthless efficiency. As Lydia snatches the memory card containing incriminating evidence, Holly watches in horror as she destroys it, flushing the vital proof down the toilet. Seething with anger and betrayal, Holly retaliates by shattering a glass vase against Lydia's skull, ending her life.

But even as Holly exacts her revenge, the cold, unforgiving reality closes in: two burly security guards burst into the room, demanding her surrender. It's then that she realizes, with crushing certainty, that she will be held accountable for the heinous crimes committed by Russell and Lydia – a grim fate sealed long before her arrival at room 513.
