What is the main profession of Sebastian in Army of Thieves?

Plot Summary

In the humdrum world of Potsdam, Sebastian’s life as a bank teller is punctuated only by his recurring nightmares of a zombie apocalypse, a constant reminder of the unpredictable nature of reality. His YouTube channel, where he showcases his theoretical expertise in safe-cracking, has remained a solitary endeavor until a mysterious figure sparks his interest with a cryptic comment, inviting him to an exclusive underground competition. Sebastian’s impressive performance at this clandestine event earns him a coveted spot among a group of seasoned thieves, led by the enigmatic Gwendoline (Nathalie Emmanuel), who shares a fascination with legendary locksmith Hans Wagner’s work.

Gwendoline’s plan is to assemble a diverse team of experts to breach the three secure safes crafted by Hans Wagner, now belonging to billionaire Bly Tanaka. The stakes are high, as these safes are due to be decommissioned in mere days, and the puzzle that Hans Wagner spent his lifetime developing will be lost forever if not cracked before then. Sebastian’s theoretical knowledge of Wagner’s work and safe-cracking techniques makes him an attractive addition to the crew, which also includes Korina (Ruby O. Fee), a brilliant hacker; Rolph (Guz Khan), a skilled getaway driver; and Brad Cage (Stuart Martin), a deadly marksman.

As they successfully execute their first heist in Paris, targeting the least complex of the three safes, the team’s victory is tempered by the realization that they’ve only managed to escape with a fraction of the total sum. Gwendoline justifies this modest gain as a testament to their reputation and the thrill of the challenge. Meanwhile, Sebastian finds himself smitten with Gwendoline, an emotion that sparks jealousy in Brad, her long-time boyfriend.

The crew’s victory is short-lived, as they travel to Prague to tackle the second safe, rumored to contain a staggering $40 million. Unbeknownst to them, their every move is being tracked by Delacroix (Jonathan Cohen), an obsessive Interpol agent consumed by his desire to capture Gwendoline and her crew. This relentless pursuer has been tracking them for years, ever since Brad’s past transgressions led to a gunshot wound that left him with a lasting reminder of the consequences of their actions.

As Sebastian (actor name) and Gwendoline (actor name) burst into the bank, their mission was quickly compromised by security forces, prompting Brad (actor name) to concoct a diversionary tactic involving a staged heist. With calculated precision, Brad cracked open the second safe, absconding with Gwendoline and another substantial sum of money, as Delacroix’s team raced to intercept them - mistakenly targeting a different bank at first, having previously traded their Wagner vault for one of their more esteemed branches. As the trio fled the scene, Brad sustained a shoulder wound from a security guard’s bullet and narrowly escaped the bank, leaving Sebastian (actor name) and Gwendoline (actor name) to make their own way back.

The betrayal stung, and Gwendoline (actor name), along with Korina (actor name), deserted Brad’s crew, abandoning plans to abandon Sebastian (actor name) after the completion of three heists. The women returned to Potsdam, reuniting with Sebastian (actor name), where they revealed their true motivations: the pursuit of the Wagner challenge was paramount, eclipsing any financial gains.

The trio set their sights on St. Moritz, the location of Europe’s final safe, as Interpol closed in. Delacroix’s team believed they had finally pinpointed the thieves’ trail, only to be outmaneuvered once again by Brad’s crew. A clever ruse involved Korina (actor name) posing as an Interpol agent, alerting the casino about a potential security threat and advising them to relocate the vault - thereby allowing Brad’s team to hijack it during its transfer from the casino.

Gwendoline (actor name) and Sebastian (actor name) parted ways with Brad (actor name) and Rolph (actor name), embarking on a treacherous journey aboard a lorry, pursued by their former comrades. Korina (actor name), apprehended by Interpol, managed to convey crucial intel to the pair about their pursuers.

As they navigated this perilous landscape, Sebastian (actor name) was forced to crack the safe within the moving vehicle, all while evading Brad’s (actor name) increasingly desperate attempts to rejoin them. Gwendoline (actor name), determined to safeguard her loved ones, overpowered and handcuffed Brad (actor name) and Rolph (actor name) to the lorry, allowing Interpol to apprehend them before making her own escape.

Prior to their escape on a boat from Hallstatt, Austria, Sebastian (actor name) and Gwendoline (actor name) shared a poignant moment of mutual confession. However, Delacroix’s intervention led to a tense standoff between him and Gwendoline (actor name), who ultimately sacrificed herself for the sake of her love for Sebastian (actor name). In her final act of devotion, she ensured her own capture, promising to find Sebastian (actor name) once she was freed. As the authorities closed in, Sebastian (actor name) vanished into the night, vowing to reunite with Gwendoline (actor name) one day.

As the sun-kissed horizon of California beckoned, Scott Ward and Maria Cruz found themselves standing before a humble locksmith shop, its unassuming facade belied by the reputation of its proprietor. Ludwig, formerly known as Sebastian, had transformed his passion into a successful business, but little did he know that two familiar faces were about to walk through his door with an intriguing proposition. The dynamic duo, having formed an unlikely alliance, presented Ludwig with an opportunity to put his exceptional skills to the ultimate test: cracking the infamous “missing” safe of the enigmatic Wagner. This was no ordinary challenge, as it held a deep significance for both Ludwig and his former flame, Gwendoline - a chance to finally resolve their shared dream of unlocking the safe’s secrets once she had gained her freedom. Without hesitation, Ludwig accepted the assignment, sealing his fate in a thrilling adventure that would push his expertise to new heights.
