As Neha (Disha Patani) regained consciousness, a sense of panic set in as she frantically searched for her young daughter, her mind racing with the thought of being torn away from her child. The memory of the sudden attack that left her unconscious was still fresh in her mind, and the desperation to find her missing three-year-old Riya only intensified. Two months had passed since Riya's disappearance on her first day of school, and Neha's world had been turned upside down.

In a bid to regain some semblance of control, Neha reached out to her ex-boyfriend Ronny (Tiger Shroff), a man who had once promised to be there for her whenever she needed him. Ronny, a seasoned captain in the Indian Army, took a break from his duties to meet with Neha, and as he sat beside her on a bus, memories of their past flooded back. It was four years ago when they first met in college, and their love blossomed. Ronny had proposed to Neha, promising to be there for her whenever she needed him.

But the present moment held little comfort for Neha, who found herself reeling from the trauma of Riya's disappearance. As Ronny met with her once more, he was struck by the fear and desperation etched on her face. When he asked about her husband, Shekhar (Darshan Kumar), and their attempts to find Riya, Neha revealed that they were both struggling to cope with the loss.

Determined to help his former lover, Ronny turned to Usman Langda (Deepak Dobriyal) for assistance in renting a car. Together, Ronny and Neha visited the police station, only to be met with resistance from Inspector Kute. When Ronny intervened to protect Neha's dignity, he found himself arrested. It wasn't until DGP Shergill (Manoj Bajpayee) interceded on behalf of his boss that Ronny was released.

As Ronny continued his search for Riya, he became increasingly frustrated by the lack of progress and the secrets surrounding Shekhar's involvement. His quest to uncover the truth would take him down a treacherous path, one that would lead him to question everything about their past and present.

Without warning, Neha's expression transformed from calm to alarmed, as she hastened to reveal a startling truth: her brother-in-law, Sunny (Prateik Babbar), was en route and demanded that Ronny vacate the premises forthwith. Following Sunny's departure, Neha confided in Ronny about her sibling's entrenched struggles with addiction, cautioning him to exercise extreme discretion. However, this cryptic warning only piqued Ronny's curiosity, prompting him to delve deeper into the enigmatic Riya's life.

As he probed further, Ronny encountered an impenetrable wall of denials and evasions, with everyone in Riya's orbit insisting that Shekhar and Neha were childless. Undeterred, Ronny scrutinized the security footage, scouring every frame for a glimpse of his quarry. Meanwhile, he paid a visit to Shekhar, posing as a law enforcement official, only to be met with the shattering revelation that Riya did not exist. The emotional toll on Neha was palpable; her psyche had been ravaged by a series of devastating events, including a miscarriage, which had left her clinging to the notion of having a daughter.

Ronny's attempts to comfort the distraught Neha fell on deaf ears, as she remained obstinately resistant to accepting the harsh reality. It was only when he stumbled upon Riya's height measurement scrawled on a wall that Ronny began to grasp the truth – albeit belatedly, as Neha had already succumbed to her despair. The police, led by ACP LSD (Randeep Hooda), arrived at the scene, their investigation drawing them into the midst of a maelstrom.

As Ronny pursued leads and pieced together fragments of information, he received a bombshell from Usman: the latter had witnessed Riya in the company of Sunny. The revelation sent Ronny racing to track down Sunny, with the authorities hot on his heels. Upon confronting the elusive Sunny, Ronny's frustration boiled over into fury, leading him to confront and ultimately subdue the suspect.

In a stunning turn of events, Ronny found himself at the police station, where LSD and Shergill interrogated Sunny. However, the suspect's erratic behavior culminated in a violent outburst, forcing Ronny to act in self-defense. The aftermath saw Ronny reeling from the revelation that DGP was behind the web of deceit, a fact that only added to his sense of disillusionment.

With the truth finally within his grasp, Ronny sought solace at Usman's office, only to find himself face-to-face with the gruesome aftermath of Usman's brutal murder. As he struggled to make sense of this new reality, Ronny discovered a photograph on one of the assailants' phones – a snapshot taken in DGP's very own home. The implications were too devastating to comprehend, leaving Ronny to pick up the shattered remnants of his life and begin rebuilding from scratch.

As the truth slowly unfolded, DGP's motives were revealed: a sumptuous offer from Shekhar had driven him to orchestrate the chaos. However, his endeavors ultimately led to his own downfall at the hands of ACP LSD. The ACP then approached Ronny with earth-shattering news - they had located Riya. But as the truth began to unravel, it emerged that Riya was none other than the daughter of Ronny and Neha, a revelation that rocked Ronny's world. Four years prior, Neha had planned to marry Shekhar in accordance with her father's final wish, only to find herself torn between duty and desire when she reunited with Ronny. The consequences of their passionate encounter still lingered in the air as Ronny recalled Neha's poignant words from that fateful car ride: "Riya is the beautiful thing our relationship has become - a lovely memory." The ACP's subsequent revelation that Shekhar had confessed his crimes only added to the complexity of the situation. In a stunning admission, Shekhar revealed he was driven by desperation, having recently discovered from his doctor that he was infertile and Riya wasn't his daughter after all. As the credits rolled, Ronny began to rebuild his life with Riya, cherishing the memories of Neha and forging a new path forward.
