As the clock strikes chaos in rural Texas, B. J. (character name not provided) shocks his closest confidants, Bobby (character name not provided) and Sue (character name not provided), with a spontaneous plan to let loose one final time before they bid adieu to their humble abode for the hallowed halls of academia. Unbeknownst to them, this impromptu escapade would set off a chain reaction that would forever alter the course of their lives.

B. J.'s reckless decision-making is soon revealed as he confesses to Bobby that the $20,000 they've stolen belongs to Giff (character name not provided), a ruthless local mobster who employs them both. As they arrive at work, they're met with a gruesome scene: Giff has brutally beaten his Mexican security guard, and Bobby's conscience is piqued by the senseless violence.

In an attempt to divert attention from their own wrongdoings, Bobby confesses to stealing the money, but it only serves as a catalyst for further chaos. The trio's desperation deepens as they're forced to dispose of the lifeless body, with Bobby expressing regret over the senseless loss of life and B. J. lambasting him for getting them all entangled in this web of deceit.

As the stakes continue to rise, Giff coerces them into agreeing to rob Big Red's cotton mill, a notorious hub for laundering illicit funds. Over Bobby's vehement objections, B. J.'s betrayal reaches new heights as he reveals Sue's involvement in frittering away Giff's hard-earned cash.

The fragile facade of their relationships begins to crumble when B. J. discovers the secret tryst between Bobby and Sue. In a bid to exploit this knowledge, he confides in Giff about both betrayals, setting the stage for a calamitous showdown at the local police station.

Sheriff (character name not provided) issues an ominous warning to Bobby: fulfill his obligations or face the consequences. Meanwhile, B. J.'s machinations continue to escalate as he harasses Bobby and Sue, leaving them wondering just how much he knows about their illicit affair.

As the night of the fateful robbery approaches, Bobby and Sue are forced to confront their demons and commit to the heist they were initially coerced into agreeing to. But when they arrive at Big Red's establishment, they're met with a gruesome scene: the safe is empty, and the workers have been brutally slaughtered.

Panic sets in as they rush back to B. J., only to find that he and Giff have concocted a sinister plan to frame them for the crime. With their world crumbling around them, Bobby and Sue are left to wonder if they'll ever escape the clutches of their treacherous associates or if they'll be forever trapped in this cycle of violence and betrayal.

As B. J. incredulously denies Giff's culpability in the gruesome murders, the latter takes swift retribution by gunning down the former. Undeterred, Sue and Bobby make a desperate bid for escape, with Sue cunningly informing Giff that she has alerted Big Red to their predicament - a claim Giff dismisses as a hollow bluff. Fueled by his disdain, Giff relentlessly pursues the pair through the labyrinthine corridors of the cotton mill, only to be foiled when they lead him on an elaborate merry-go-round before finally cornering them atop rickety rafters. With Bobby's courage momentarily faltering, Giff taunts his nemesis, insinuating that his impending demise will mercifully spare him the anguish and shame of being cast aside by Sue in favor of a more refined and accomplished suitor at college. Incensed, Bobby charges Giff, and as they plummet to the ground below, Big Red arrives on the scene, permitting Sue and the injured Bobby to make their escape while proclaiming their enduring love for one another. When Giff refuses to divulge the whereabouts of Red's missing fortune, his stubbornness proves fatal, as Red exacts a gruesome retribution in cold blood.
