Daphne, a devoted yet overprotective mother to three daughters, is particularly troubled by the romantic struggles of her youngest, Milly. While her other daughters, Maggie and Mae, enjoy stable marriages, Milly has recently gone through a breakup, prompting Daphne’s deep concern for her daughter’s future happiness.

In her quest to see Milly thrive in love, Daphne takes the initiative to secretly place a personal ad on her daughter’s behalf. After some searching, she believes she uncovers the perfect match in Jason, whom she plots to introduce to Milly. However, the plan takes an unexpected turn when Milly begins seeing Johnny, a guitarist who was initially on Daphne’s rejected list. Unbeknownst to Milly, she is now juggling two suitors—Jason and Johnny—both of whom remain oblivious to each other’s existence.

As Milly embarks on this dual dating escapade, she finds the strain affecting her relationships, leading to growing tension with both men. Meanwhile, Daphne, after years of solitude, stumbles upon her own romantic connection, showing that love can find its way when least expected.

Amidst this emotional turmoil, Milly faces a crucial decision: should she align herself with the traditional expectations her mother has set or boldly pursue her own desires? This conflict culminates in a heated argument between mother and daughter. Ultimately, when Milly chooses to reconcile with Johnny, it becomes clear to Daphne that this is indeed the true love that was meant for her daughter all along. The journey of self-discovery leaves both women learning vital lessons about love, independence, and the importance of following one’s heart.
