Digging for Fire 2015

Lee, a yoga instructor with a Zen-like calm, embarks on a family adventure to a client’s secluded abode with her husband Tim, a gym teacher with a rugged charm, and their 3-year-old son Jude. Back at their own home, Lee seeks solace at her sister Squiggy’s place, confiding in her mother about feeling lost without an identity outside of being a wife and mother.

Phil makes a surprise visit to the house, misinterpreting Tim’s evening with Max as a betrayal of his marriage vows. As Tim and Max bond over dinner, he opens up about the cracks that have formed in their relationship since becoming parents. Lee, meanwhile, finds herself drawn to Ben at a bar, where she intervenes when another patron gets too physical. Ben’s wound requires medical attention, which leads Lee to Alicia’s doorstep, where the medical student tends to his injury. As Tim and Max indulge in a marijuana-filled evening at home, Ben whips up dinner for Lee, setting the stage for a tangled web of relationships to unfold.

As Ray’s unexpected return sparks tension between Max (character A) and Tim, the fragile atmosphere is further disrupted by Ray’s alleged sabotage of Tim’s evening.
