What unexpected visitor does Lenny find beside his bed at the start of the movie?

Plot Summary

Three years have passed since the events of the first film, and Lenny Feder (Adam Sandler) has decided to relocate his family back to their hometown in Connecticut, a place where memories of childhood summers linger. The story begins with Lenny awakening to find an unexpected visitor - a wild deer standing beside his bed. As he stirs, his wife Roxanne (Salma Hayek) inadvertently startles the deer, causing it to leave a lasting impression on their home. With a mix of humor and chaos, Lenny manages to escort the deer out just in time for him to take his children, Greg, Keithie, and Becky, to their final day of school. The conversation turns to expanding their family, but Roxanne’s suggestion is met with Lenny’s insistence that their clan is perfect just the way it is, leaving a hint of discontent.

Meanwhile, at the Lamonsoff household, Eric (Kevin James) and his wife Sally are locked in a debate over how to raise their children. While Sally advocates for unwavering support, Eric prefers a more practical approach. At the McKenzie residence, Kurt (Chris Rock) surprises his wife Deanne with an anniversary gift that speaks volumes about their relationship - only to discover she has forgotten the special occasion altogether. As Marcus Higgins waits at a train station, he receives a letter from an old flame revealing that he has a 17-year-old son named Braden. The revelation is met with shock as Marcus encounters a towering, tattooed young man who turns out to be his long-lost offspring.

As the day unfolds, Lenny, Eric, Kurt, and Marcus embark on a journey of nostalgia, reminiscing about their carefree childhood summers and the legendary Tommy Cavanaugh, Lenny’s childhood tormentor. The friends engage in good-natured boasts, with Lenny asserting that he could still take down his old bully if they were kids again. Their excursion culminates in a visit to Becky’s ballet recital, where Lenny is forced to confront Tommy once more - a meeting that leaves him visibly shaken. With the promise of a beating hanging over his head, Lenny is left to ponder the wisdom of reopening old wounds.

As the summer days dwindle, four old friends - Lenny (actor name), Eric, Kurt, and Marcus - decide to recapture the carefree spirit of their youth by revisiting the abandoned quarry where they once spent countless hours swimming. However, their nostalgic escapade takes an unexpected turn when they stumble upon a raucous party hosted by a group of rowdy frat boys. The friends are coerced into stripping off their clothes and taking an involuntary dip in the quarry, with only Braden (actor name) witnessing this humiliating spectacle. Enraged on behalf of his friends, Braden proceeds to exact revenge by vandalizing the frat house.

Meanwhile, Lenny returns home to help Roxanne prepare for a retro-themed party that promises to be the talk of the town. As their friends begin to arrive, Marcus starts to forge an unlikely bond with Braden, who is forced to confront his misguided perceptions about his father. The atmosphere remains festive until Roxanne drops a bombshell: she’s expecting another addition to their already lively brood. Lenny’s initial reluctance gives way to shock and disorientation as he struggles to come to terms with the prospect of raising four rambunctious kids.

As the night wears on, the partygoers are treated to a series of unexpected events. Tommy Cavanaugh’s unwelcome arrival sparks a heated confrontation between him and Lenny, but just as it seems things will escalate into a full-blown brawl, Tommy unexpectedly takes a dive, allowing Lenny to save face in front of their friends and kids. The two former adversaries even manage to find common ground, their mutual respect palpable.

However, the evening’s tranquility is short-lived, as the vengeful frat boys arrive at the party, hell-bent on exacting revenge for the damage inflicted upon their house. Their insults aimed at the local residents prompt a fiery response, and soon the two groups are locked in a fierce battle. In the end, the townsfolk emerge victorious, sending the frat boys fleeing in disarray.

As the dust settles, Lenny’s friends gather at Eric’s mom’s cozy abode for a hearty breakfast of pancakes. Mrs. Lamonsoff offers words of wisdom, reassuring Lenny that a new baby will bring joy and a sense of fulfillment he never knew was possible. Her words strike a chord, and Lenny returns home to Roxanne, apologizing profusely and expressing his excitement about the upcoming arrival of their new addition. The couple’s reconciliation marks a turning point in their journey as parents, filled with hope and anticipation for the adventures that lie ahead.
