Gary “Gal” Dove enjoys a seemingly peaceful life on the Costa del Sol alongside his devoted wife DeeDee, loyal friend Aitch, and Aitch’s wife Jackie. However, their tranquility is shattered by the unwelcome arrival of Don Logan, a psychopath notorious for his violent streak. This former associate has come with a dark agenda: to coerce Gal into participating in a daring bank heist orchestrated by the notorious crime lord Teddy Bass. The catalyst for this plot? Harry, the bank’s chairman, who accidentally revealed crucial details about the vault during an outrageous orgy meeting.

At first, Gal is steadfast in his refusal to engage in Don’s increasingly aggressive demands regarding the heist. Yet, as Don’s violent tendencies escalate, Gal begins to suspect that his friend’s motivations may be fueled by a long-buried crush on Jackie, a notion that ignites Don’s fury, culminating in a rage-fueled departure from the villa.

On his flight back to England, Don’s erratic behavior becomes apparent as he stubbornly keeps his cigarette lit and displays hostility toward other passengers and crew members. After being forcibly removed from the plane, he concocts a tale of sexual assault against a flight attendant to escape accountability. His return to the villa is marked by an explosive interaction where he physically assaults Gal with a glass.

In a moment of desperation, DeeDee intervenes, wielding Gal’s hunting shotgun to subdue Don, leading to a violent act of revenge as the group buries him beneath the swimming pool. Back in London, as Gal gears up for the heist, he concocts a deceitful story to cover for Don’s sudden disappearance, claiming that Don contacted him from Heathrow Airport.

The heist itself is a carefully orchestrated endeavor, featuring divers equipped with drilling apparatuses to breach the bank vault through a pool in an adjacent bathhouse. The sound of water muffles their actions, and the flooding disrupts the vault’s security, allowing Teddy’s gang to ransack the safe deposit boxes. Amidst this chaos, Gal secretly snatches a pair of exquisite ruby and diamond earrings.

Once the heist concludes, Teddy insists on driving Gal to the airport, which includes a grim stop at Harry’s residence where a violent end befalls Harry at Teddy’s hands. As they separate, Teddy ominously alludes to Gal’s involvement in Don’s fate, suggesting dire repercussions if he ever cared about his former accomplice. This unsettling message is further underscored when Teddy humorously compensates Gal with a mere £10 for his trouble.

When Teddy drops Gal off at the airport, a pervasive sense of unease washes over him as he glances back, witnessing Teddy’s vehicle vanish into the distance like a predator in pursuit of its prey. As Gal revisits his loved ones in Spain, a feeling of calm returns to the landscape, enveloping him like a soft morning mist fading at daybreak. DeeDee, now wearing the stolen earrings, radiates an aura of peace, offering comfort for the emotional wounds inflicted by their tumultuous experiences. Yet, Gal remains haunted by the ghostly echoes of Don’s voice, a constant reminder that the past cannot be silenced. With a blend of frustration and resolve, Gal confronts these lingering reminders, defiantly proclaiming: > “You’re dead, Don; it’s time for you to shut up.” His words resonate with poignancy, signifying that even amidst renewal and rebirth, the specters of the past demand acknowledgment before one can truly embrace the future.
