In the bustling environment of a San Fernando Valley public high school, a trio of teenagers grapples with the complexities of adolescent feelings and unreciprocated love. They embark on a fine dining experience marked by playful banter, which transitions into a visit to an art museum where Keith unveils a painting he created in Amanda’s honor. The night reaches its zenith when he gifts her the diamond earrings, leading to a tender kiss with Watts as a silent observer.

However, the night takes a painful turn at Hardy’s ostentatious bash, where Keith is brutally attacked by Hardy’s gang. In the nick of time, Duncan and his friends intervene, revealing Hardy’s underlying cowardice.
