Check out what happened in The Fabulous Four!

In the early days, Louise - affectionately known as Lou, Marilyn, or simply the dynamic duo - shared an unbreakable bond with her friend Marilyn. Their college years were filled with laughter, late-night conversations, and a symbiotic balance between Marilyn's vivacious persona and Lou's quiet intellect. As they transitioned into adulthood, their lifelong friendship continued to flourish, taking root in a cozy apartment where they welcomed two new kindred spirits, Alice and Kitty. Together, the Fabulous Four formed an unshakeable quartet, each member bringing their unique strengths and quirks to the table.

Decades later, life had taken its toll on the group. Lou had become a respected surgeon, while Kitty had traded in her biologist's microscope for a thriving marijuana farm and a free-spirited "earth mother" lifestyle. Alice, still clinging to her rock star persona, continued to live life on her own terms, indulging in excesses of every kind. Meanwhile, Marilyn, fresh from the loss of her husband John after 48 years of marriage, found solace in the fleeting world of TikTok.

As she navigated this unfamiliar terrain, Marilyn's emotions teetered precariously between sadness and excitement when she announced her surprise engagement to get married... that weekend! The urgency prompted her to reach out to her oldest friends, Alice and Kitty, begging them to join her as bridesmaids. Her request was met with a mix of shock, curiosity, and a hint of mischief.

In a cleverly crafted ploy, Kitty and Alice hatched a plan to lure Lou back into the fold by exploiting her love for cats and Ernest Hemingway. They spun a tale about a raffle prize - a polydactyl cat, no less - that would be awarded at the legendary Hemingway mansion. It was an irresistible proposition, and Lou's busy schedule as a heart surgeon couldn't compete with the allure of a chance to reconnect with her long-lost friends. Little did she know, however, that the road ahead would lead her down a path filled with old wounds, hidden agendas, and secrets waiting to be unearthed.

As the sun-kissed Key West mansion once inhabited by literary legend Ernest Hemingway serves as a backdrop, the lives of the ladies are forever intertwined. Upon their arrival in Florida, Lou's world is turned upside down when she meets Marilyn at her estate, a symbol of opulence and excess. The air is thick with tension as Lou's anger simmers just below the surface, fueled by the revelation that her friends had concealed the truth about Marilyn's feline companions. Her ire is only exacerbated by the constant reminders of her lost love, now deceased, and the lingering pain stemming from Marilyn's betrayal.

Marilyn, a whirlwind of energy and vivacity, lives life to the fullest, chronicling every moment on social media platform TikTok. She delights in goading Lou about her lack of intimacy, warning her that she'll soon be sharing more than just cat videos with one of her feline friends. As a token of encouragement, Marilyn presents Lou with a sex toy, urging her to hone her Kegel exercises.

As the ladies embark on a mission to procure their dream wedding gowns, tensions escalate once again when Marilyn nonchalantly mentions her upcoming elopement with John. Frustrated and feeling trapped, Lou exits the dress shop, only to inadvertently step into the path of a cyclist, precipitating a crash that leaves the rider injured. As opportunistic thieves eye the abandoned bicycle, Lou seizes the moment to defend the fallen cyclist, utilizing the Kegel ball as an impromptu slingshot. Her heroics earn her a chance encounter with a dashing stranger.

The following day, Marilyn whisks the group away on a thrilling parasailing adventure, but Lou's seasickness proves a major hindrance. In an effort to soothe her friend's discomfort, Alice discreetly hands Lou chocolate infused with marijuana. As the effects of the cannabis take hold, Lou's perception becomes distorted, and she finds herself in the midst of a surreal experience, complete with hallucinations of felines performing surgery. Her altered state prompts her to sever the connection between the boat and the group, sending them all singing in harmony, "Don't Worry, Be Happy." A safe landing on the beach follows, but when Marilyn's teasing and laughter become too much for Lou to bear, she lashes out at her friends for their deception and targets Marilyn for her unhealthy obsession with social media.

As the night wears on at the sultry strip club, Marilyn, Kitty, and Alice revel in a bachelorette party that will be etched in their memories forever. Amidst the pulsating lights and seductive rhythms, one performer stands out - Nathan (Kadan Bennett), a talented stripper who bears an unexpected familial connection to Kitty. It transpires that Nathan is her grandson, cast adrift from his mother's home after a heart-wrenching decision: embracing his true nature as a gay man. As Kitty offers unwavering support and acceptance, the weight of his struggles momentarily lifts, allowing him to share in the joy of the celebration.

The next day, Marilyn treats her friends to a meet-and-greet with her fiancé-to-be, Bradley. However, this encounter takes an unexpected turn when it's revealed that he's none other than the unsuspecting soul Lou (who had previously been involved in a bike accident outside the bridal shop where the couple had planned their wedding). As tensions rise and emotions run high, Marilyn finds herself at odds with Lou, ultimately forcing her to sever ties as one of her bridesmaids.

As the fateful day of the wedding arrives, Marilyn's pent-up emotions boil over, leading to a mental breakdown that threatens to upend the entire proceedings. In the aftermath, she and Bradley come to realize they've been swept up in a whirlwind romance, hastily rushing into matrimony without fully considering their true feelings. Deciding to part ways but remain friends, they take a deep breath and move forward.

Meanwhile, Alice's character takes on an enigmatic quality, often disappearing for extended periods only to reappear when the narrative calls upon her once more. The grand finale of the film finds Kitty taking center stage, belting out a show-stopping performance in a vibrant group number that leaves a lasting impression. As the curtain closes, Lou is persuaded by Captain Ernie (played by...) to embark on a new adventure, leaving the memories of this tumultuous journey behind as he sets his sights on the sun-kissed shores of Key West.
