The Truth About Cats & Dogs 1996

Abby Barnes, a compassionate veterinarian and host of the engaging radio show “The Truth About Cats and Dogs”, finds her life suddenly turned upside down when photographer Brian calls in for advice and then sends her a thoughtful gift. As their connection grows, Abby’s self-doubt about her appearance prompts her to fabricate an alternate reality over the phone, describing herself as her neighbor Noelle (character unknown). Despite this deception, she agrees to meet Brian, only to stand him up.

In the midst of Abby’s inner turmoil, she intervenes in a volatile argument between Noelle and her abusive boyfriend Roy, forming an unlikely bond with her neighbor.
