**Janeane Garofalo** is an esteemed American comedian, actress, and co-host on Air America Radio's The Majority Report. Born on September 28, 1964, she launched her prosperous career as a stand-up comedian. She impressively secured herself as a cast member on notable shows such as The Ben Stiller Show, The Larry Sanders Show, The West Wing, and Saturday Night Live. Garofalo's dedication and talent also led her to star in over 50 movies, playing significant roles in films like The Truth About Cats & Dogs, Wet Hot American Summer, and The Matchmaker. She has consistently worked on high-profile television programs, proving her versatility and dominance in the entertainment industry. Garofalo was born in Newton, New Jersey, and grew up in various places, such as Ontario, California; Madison, New Jersey; and Houston, Texas. She graduated from James E. Taylor High School. She followed her passion for comedy while studying at Providence College and hold degrees in history and American studies. An interesting aspect of her comedy shows involves her notebook, filled with years' worth of article clippings and observations she references for quotes during her acts. Garofalo has also demonstrated her writing prowess by co-writing a humorous New York Times bestseller titled 'Feel This Book: An Essential Guide to Self-Empowerment, Spiritual Supremacy, and Sexual Satisfaction' with Ben Stiller.
