Who is the ruthless gang leader seeking revenge?

Plot Summary

As the dust settled on the ravaged building, two men - Harvey, a ruthless gang leader, and Karl, a deadly hitman - lay entwined in a web of fate. The implosion had left them both scarred, Karl crippled by the blast and Harvey nursing a wound that seemed to defy explanation. Unbeknownst to Harvey, his would-be assassin was just steps away, masquerading as a hospital employee. It wasn’t until he received news that his injury might not have been caused by flying debris after all, but rather by a stray bullet with “Karl” etched into its casing, that the gang leader’s ire was sparked. Vengeance burned within him, fueling a quest to track down Karl and exact retribution.

Meanwhile, Mi Lan’s brother had suffered a crushing blow at the box office, his film bombing in spectacular fashion. Harvey, who had invested heavily in the project, grew increasingly agitated as losses mounted. His frustration boiled over when he threatened the hapless director, leaving him shaken but unbroken. Just then, a seemingly innocuous balloon popped, sending Harvey’s instincts into overdrive as he instinctively searched for Karl, convinced that his nemesis was lurking nearby.

Mi Lan seized upon this momentary lapse, exploiting Harvey’s paranoia to plant the seed of doubt in his mind. “I know Karl,” she coyly hinted, her words dripping with an air of familiarity. Her promise to bring him to Harvey proved too enticing to resist, drawing amateur actor Wei Chenggong into a treacherous web of deceit. Unaware that he was stepping into a deadly game of cat and mouse, Wei was convinced that Mi Lan’s “hitman” scheme was merely a film set, oblivious to the perilous stakes that lay ahead.
