Nirma Sahastrabuddhe, portrayed by Mithila Palkar, is a Mandarin translator employed at a travel agency that caters to Chinese tourists visiting Mumbai. Often finding herself assigned to the less desirable tasks, such as coordinating tours in Dharavi, Nirma struggles with tardiness, which adds to her challenges at work.
Excitedly, she purchases her first car, only for it to be stolen on the very night of her ownership. In a state of despair, she seeks assistance from the police, led by Abhishek Bhalerao as Siddhivinayak Cop. However, her encounter with a recently apprehended thief reveals the grim reality: if her car is not recovered within three days, it will either be shipped out of the city or dismantled for parts. The thief suggests consulting a renowned conman known as Artist, played by Abhay Deol, who is said to have the skills necessary to recover her vehicle.
When Nirma meets Artist, she is taken aback by his unorthodox personality, finding herself in an embarrassing situation when she accidentally maces herself instead of him. Desperate for help, she persuades him to assist in the recovery of her car after she aids him in translating a manual for a Chinese safe. Artist has a vast network and quickly discovers the car’s location through his connection, UdanKhatola, who oversees the coin currency operations in Mumbai.
As Nirma faces increasing scrutiny at work, with a rude boss who fails to recognize her efforts, she confides in Artist. He encourages her to consider alternative career paths instead of dwelling on her current predicament. Soon, Artist receives word from UdanKhatola that the car has been found, but under a peculiar condition: he must gift a mobile phone to retrieve it. In a tense test of nerves, Nirma attempts to purchase an iPhone with counterfeit currency, ultimately panicking when chased by the store owner.
Their plan to reclaim the car takes a disturbing turn when they discover that it has already been destroyed, leading to Nirma’s deep disappointment. However, through further investigation, they learn that the car has actually been relocated to gangster Faiyaz Bhai’s possession, humorously depicted by Vijay Raaz. Faiyaz, who has a penchant for his pet goat, Bahubali, purchased at a staggering cost, becomes central to their next scheme.
With a burgeoning dissatisfaction in her job, Nirma decides to quit, feeling trapped and unappreciated. Meanwhile, Faiyaz is approached by Animal Planet for a documentary featuring Bahubali, offering Nirma a crucial clue—a newspaper photo reveals her car parked beside the goat.
Despite Artist’s reluctance to confront Faiyaz Bhai, Nirma’s determination leads them to hatch a daring plan to kidnap Bahubali in exchange for her beloved vehicle. Artist fashions an elaborate scheme, acquiring a look-alike goat and positioning Nirma as a makeup artist for the documentary. In a cunning maneuver, they execute the switch when Nirma successfully lures Bahubali outside.
However, their escapade quickly spirals out of control as Farooq, a caterer familiar with Artist, figures out their ploy, initiating a frantic chase from Faiyaz Bhai’s goons. In the face of adversity, Nirma ultimately decides to return Bahubali, appreciating the bond between Faiyaz and his pet. Expressing regret for her actions, she explains her motivations were driven by a shared sense of loss.
Moved by her heartfelt apology, Faiyaz returns her car, while Nirma embarks on a fresh start by securing a new position with Bank of China, ironically becoming a client of her former boss. Meanwhile, Artist finds success as a contestant on a cooking show, Super Chef, where his culinary passions are fully realized. Through their journey, both Nirma and Artist discover the importance of empathy and the unexpected paths life can take.
