James loses his parents

In the summer of 1948, young James Henry Trotter becomes an orphan after a tragic incident in which a rhinoceros claims the lives of his parents. This traumatic event leaves him under the abusive care of his cruel aunts, Spiker and Sponge, who mistreat him and deny him happiness.

James meets the old man

One day, after bravely saving a spider from his aunts, James encounters a mysterious old man who gifts him magical 'crocodile tongues.' These special objects have the extraordinary ability to enlarge anything they touch, offering James a glimmer of hope amidst his grim circumstances.

The giant peach begins to grow

In his excitement, James accidentally spills the crocodile tongues into the soil beneath an ancient peach tree, triggering a magical transformation. To everyone's astonishment, this results in the rapid growth of a colossal peach that soon draws the attention of curious tourists.

James enters the giant peach

That night, James discovers an entrance into the giant peach. Inside, he finds a whimsical world filled with friendly anthropomorphic invertebrates, including Mr. Grasshopper, Mr. Centipede, Ms. Spider, Mr. Earthworm, Mrs. Ladybug, and Mrs. Glowworm, who become his new friends and allies.

The escape from his aunts

As Spiker and Sponge set out to find James, the insect friends help him sever the peach from its tree. They successfully roll away, beginning an adventure that leads them on a wild journey across the oceans in a quest for freedom from James' aunts.

Journey to New York City

As they travel, James and his friends face formidable challenges including a gigantic mechanical shark and terrifying undead pirates in the Arctic waters. These dangers test their courage and teamwork as they fight to stay together and reach safety.

Upon arriving in New York, the spectral form of the rhinoceros, which had killed James' parents, appears and creates turmoil among the group. In a moment of bravery, James confronts the beast, navigating fear and chaos to protect his friends.

The peach falls to the Empire State Building

In a dramatic turn, the rhinoceros strikes the peach with lightning, causing it to plummet to the ground. Fortunately, the peach lands atop the iconic Empire State Building, symbolizing a victory over fear as James and his friends prepare for their next challenge.
